ok guys... this car isn't for everyone. i'll start by listing the normal specs. the car is about to roll 100k and is black with black leather. fully loaded with a moonroof, infinity stereo, wood trim, heated and power seats, etc... it has the 4.7liter V8 and full time 4wd and has a tow package as well. car has decently new michelins on it, as well as a decently new battery, alternator, starter, and brakes.
now for the bad.... the car has been in accidents (plural). we just found out that the car was involved in 2 front end collisions when it was new. we have driven it 80k miles since both accidents without problems. the car was leased at the time so was fixed by a legit mechanic. no worries there. BUT, about 3 years ago i slammed a curb with this car and the front suspension was never repaired. my mechanic told me it would cost about $1500 to repair. the part that is bent is where the a-arms connect to the frame (so yes, this is considered frame damage). thats about all the information i have on this problem. otherwise, the car has an ABS light on and some other minor body imperfections.
the car still drives straight (except the steering wheel is a couple degrees tilted when doing so) and doesn't chew up tires, so technically you could get away with driving it as-is. we have been doing so for a couple years. the engine is still strong and is really ballsy. this truck would make a great comfy beater for someone who does towing or trail riding. it gets decent gas mileage (~15mpg) and is fast as hell! the truck is mechanically sound as far as i can tell (just drove it today) but does show its age. it makes some noises and such here and there, but nothing that seems too out of the ordinary for me. the reason we are selling this car is because my aunt fell in love with a Mercury Montego today and she wants to sell this to buy it. otherwise, she is gonna continue to drive this car and i am gonna eventually adopt it for towing and winter duty.
if you wanna see the car, PM me. its located in Piscataway. we can arrange something.
