So i bought a built 700r4 for my v6-v8 swap and it came with a converter. The guy i bought it from knew everything i needed about the trans, but he wasn't sure what stall the converter was or even whether it was stock or aftermarket.
The car this setup came out of was obviously pushing some serious numbers so i'm worried that i may get my car together and find out i've got a 5000rpm stall (which would be WAY too much for my motor) and i'd rather not yank this tranny for a 3rd time.
Is there any way to tell just by looking at it? There are no other markings on it other than a yellow "DE" stamped on the engine side.
