speaking of paint, has any one sprayed the underside of their intake white,

you obviously watched the episode of Horsepower over the weekend and they told you what it claims to do in the episode. white underneath ... reflects heat. Black on the top, dissipates heat better. does it work? nothing can prove it does....

Take everything that show does with a grain of salt. I don't believe for a second that a healthy LS-6 big block only makes 200 at the wheels, and that you get 100 hp at the wheels by dumping a Holley 850DP and manifold for an Edelbrock 850 and manifold.
As far as heat, you would probably be better off blocking the exhaust crossover, but that can create issues in cold weather.
