Ok, so I'm not the most intelligent when it comes to radio installation. I figured out why my amp lost power, one of the connectors (power) lol broke off at the c clamp. I went to a radio place and they gave me an extention wire and a new c clamp to attach it with. My question is do I need to disconnect the battery before reattaching all the wires, or is it fine to connect with the car off?

I don't want to electrocute (sp?) myself or ruin anything else. Thanks.

yeah, disconnect the battery. make one slip with that and touch your ground, you can blow up something internally and tahts the end of your amp

I'm not sure what the problem is as soon as I get my check from the last home sale I'll take it to get evaluated. If they say I need an amp I'll let you know.

make sure u have a gooooooood ground connection; in my ealry unexperienced days ive thought my amp was blown a few times, a nd it was just that the ground wire had loosened up . always dis-connnect the batt.. its a 1 min deal that can save u $ in fuses, and save ur amp if ur not running a fuse
