what are some other good bands that are heavy but melodic? (for example, disturbed's last two albums and staind's break the cycle) i need some new music, my collection is getting stale :?

Here's an up and coming band who has already opened for mainstream bands. They're out of Las Vegas, however one of the band members lives in Montana, right down the street from a friend of mine (which is how I've heard of them).

haha yo Jizmak has go to be one of the best drummers and Balsac and flatus maximus are kick *** guitarists. Not to mention Beefcake the mighty or Oderous urungus

I met Flattus at last years "Sounds of the Underground" show in Camden. Cool dude. GWAR weren't scheduled to do any autograph singings but he heard alot of people were asking,so he threw on the costume and signed for @ 45 min or so. @ an hour later GWAR performed in 90 degree heat and they kicked *****.

try avantasia, edguy, demons and wizards ( iced earth and blind guardian together), falconer, firewind, galloglass, dream tale, evergrey, dissection, hammerfall, helloween, of course the Iron Maiden, Lost Horizon, Manowar, Power Quest, Savage Circus ( sounds identical to Older blind guardian i.e. nightfall in middle earth) , Sonata Arctica, and virgin steele. sorry for the long list but i know a lot of bands haha
