I'm thinking about selling my camaro, right now its my daily driver and I'm starting to want something a little nicer riding and quieter, and something i have comes to terms with many years ago is the awful gas mileage. plus i have always wanted nice leather seats and a car with trunk. so after a lot of thought i think I'm going to by a bmw 325is.

here's my 94 camaro...

http://i128.photobucket.com/albums/p164/z28racerf39/100_4858.jpg

it has 114,000 miles, full exhaust and qtp cut out, fresh paint on the faded bumpers, new trans very low miles on it (i have the paper work for that w/ a 3000 stall) new nitto tires, mb quart component speakers, 500 4chl watt amp, eclipse h/u and some more. but do you think i could get $6000, its very very clean.

oh here's the beemer..

Not sure if it's just the lighting, but in the first pic the fender looks like it's definitely a slightly different color than the hood and bumper. How well was the paint blended when you had the bumpers repainted?

You might get $6k for it depending on just how good of shape it's actually in, but I've never seen it so I couldn't tell ya for sure.

it does match, and the hood was not painted and he said the hood and fender look like they don't match but the hood is original paint so it does match. its just the light.

here's one hood and bumper, they match...

Ya never know, i sold my 95 Z28 in 3 days, put it up for 7400 and got 7000 cash for it. Mine was bone stock, but it only had 54k miles on it.

$6k will be tough i think, but its always possible to find someone that will pay that much for a 13 year old, high mileage car. just make sure they're not an enthusiast and they'll think they're getting a deal.

Hell yea 6k will be super hard. I sold my old 99 LS1 Z with 118k for $5900. Good Luck with everything but why that old BMW?

if you can work it out, do NOT sell the camaro. i don't know what your finances are like, but it sounds like you need to sell one car to buy another. that's what auto loans are for. even if you have to get a co-signer, try to hang on to your current car. you will kick yourself later if you sell it. trust the voice of experience.

A BMJERKOFFW is a me too, cookie cutter, yuppie scum POS! It is not "different" or "nice." A 6 cylinder F-body with 2 busted spark plug wires is better than a dayum BMJERKOFFW. BUY AMERICAN!!!

Flippin' Stevie Wonder could see what a pretty car this Camero is! It is an awesome color, has nice wheels, a cool stance, etc. To roll this over for a BMJERKOFFW is like rolling a Corvette over for a Chevette!

Careful with used 3-series BMW's... I've heard that they have cooling system issues.

ok i know i really don't want to sell the car but its my daily and that's what i bought it for not to be a project i already have too many of those, but due to my job i drive a lot and far for the last 7 months i have driven to VA and back at least 3 times a month and it cost way to much in gas to do that with this car. I'm not going to keep this car buy a beater cause then it would become a project and i don't want that from this car i already have to many better project cars then to keep putting money and time into a 94 camaro. but it is going to be very hard for me to get rid of it especially with a picture of it on my computer background that i look at every day.

Justin,

You may have already addressed this yourself, but if you are selling the Camaro for economical reasons (gas prices) and are replacing it with a older BMW to save money you may end up spending more in the long run. Maintaining or repairing a BMW is certainly not a problem but will be more expensive than reparing an American or Japanese car. That BMW looks like it's in good cosmetic shape but it may be at the age/mileage where you will be replacing/repairing more than just the standard things like plugs, wires, and brakes.

Just something to keep in mind. Good luck with the sale.

That is a beautiful f'n Camero! It makes me wanna slit my wrists thinking somebody would give it up for a BMJERKOFFW. I don't wanna be on the same planet as anybody that would do that!

I'm not anti-bimmer or against you selling, but there is truth to that.

good luck sellin bro. seen the car and you in your work parking lot, car sounds nice and looks nicer in person than pictures

that tears it, then. you can't sell it. get a low-cost, low-maintenance vehicle that gets good gas-mileage for your daily driver. if no other thought comes to mind, buy a car cover and park that beauty. in two or three years you will come around, and if you still have it, you'll be glad you didn't sell it. if, however, you do sell it, i am telling you, you will regret it.

no one is saying it has to become another "project" car. to me, it looks good as it sits. so don't change it. protect it, tuck it away and drive something else for the time being.

first thank you for all the compliments on my car, so you guys and all of my friends have convinced me to keep the car, actually now that i have been thinking about selling the car iv been getting complement a lot in public i know i always have but it seems like more then normal lately but its probably just because now I'm thinking about them instead of just being use to it. and i guess if you guys think it looks good the way it sits then I'm gonna try to lay off putting money into it and work on my projects.

and matt you better put you car back on the road so we can all start rolling around deep again.

Glad you are keeping it. Your Z is a very nice LT1. I have my 01 SS (65,000) that i only drive on the weekends(sometimes only 1 day) and I daily drive my 98 Trans Am. It has 140,000 hard miles on it and i wouldn't even think to replace it yet.Still get around 24mpg on the Highway IMHO F-Body's are good daily drivers
