View Full Version : Yup, the throwout bearing was the problem on the SS396

and I have nobody to blame but myself. Somehow, I managed to get the throwout bearing out of place when I installed the trans when I did the clutch job last year. It ended up straddling the clutch fork spring fingers instead of being in the groove all the way. That allowed it to pivot and eventually started to rattle. So it should be back in shortly and ready for the Nats in a couple of weeks.

sweet...no more bitchin about it when ya come in to the liquor store lol :p... what do you think she'll run?
i think she will sit in the car show field.

it will run about 55-65MPH on the highway
