someone dented my camaro!

I came home today and I realized there are a few dents on my camaro. the odd part is that the dents are on the passenger side which is facing my lawn. one dent is right on the body line on the door and the other is right where the roof and B pillar meet. the one near the roof is pretty huge too.

the roof one doesnt look too bad in that pick, but I went out and bought some primer and some sandpaper to show how bad the dent really is...

I have no idea how this happened, all I know is I'm not looking forward to fixing that one on the roof :(

which one of your neighbors on that side eithe rplays golf or has kids dumb enough to hit golf balls in the neighborhood?
that is what the size and shape of the dents looks like to me.

some1 hit that with a round object. ian that isnt too bad to work out of there, i had one like that, i used a "nail gun" type of tool that would "tack" weld a stud to the metal and then u would use this other tool and yank it and it would get most of it out, i then used a hammer and a block of wood and hit the inside and then use the wood as the stopper. got it as flat as possible then used a lil bondo to smooth it out

that is what the size and shape of the dents looks like to me.

no one golfs in the neighborhood. besides, the dent is way too deep for it to have been from a golf ball.

the neighbor on that side of the car is really cool. he has a yenko corvair and a 67 lemans. the neighbors on the other side arent the greatest , but they'd have to walk all the way across my lawn and driveway to do that.

hopefully no more dents show up...

this is known as a stud welder

and then u would use this other tool and yank it and it would get most of it out,

this one is a slide hammer

i then used a hammer and a block of wood and hit the inside and then use the wood as the stopper.

if no other tools are available, then this would work. hold the piece of wood on the other side of the metal where you are going to hit it with the hammer. if we are talking a claw hammer (carpenter's hammer), then hit as lightly as you can and still have a subtle effect every time you hit it. slowly, but surely, the metal will go back to it's original shape.

got it as flat as possible then used a lil bondo to smooth it out

this is the correct use for bondo. at least you tried to flatten out the metal first instead of just using bondo to get the surface flat - which is where bondo gets such a bad name. anything over 3 mils is really too thick and you should try working the metal some more.

thanx man its been a while since i last did body work :| and that was as a lil side work with the guy i worked with. im more of a auto tech then a body guy so thanks for the names.
