My boss asked me if I knew anyone interested in working evenings at my part time job in Westwood NJ. Name of the place is JB Offset printing. Its across the street from Pascack Valley Hospital. Ive been working there off and on since I was 16. We print local and school newspapers monday thru friday. We also print two daily italian newspapers 7 days a week. My boss is looking for some people who want to help out at night with the daily papers. Hours are 5pm until the papers are done being printed which is almost always 9pm. Dutys include taking the negitives from the journalists and burining them into plates, hanging the plates on the press, filling the ink wells, putting rolls on the press, operating a fork lift and eventualy loading the papers on to pallets as they come out of the stacker. Really simple stuff but my boss is always interested in hiring ambitious machanically inclined people, thats why I figured i would create a post here. starting salery is $8 and hour but could be more depending on any prior printing / mechanical experiance.

Anyone interested in learning more call Frank Cook at 201-664-4400 and tell um you heard about the job thru Tony

tempting, but the $8 starting salary isnt promising.. I have 3 years offset printing experience, plus another 3 at a digital print shop on top of a bachelors, i'd probably be asking too much.

Yes, they make a lot more than $8 an hour. Even the press tenders make out pretty good. I should have been more clear about my expierence, my company has sheetfed and web presses. I work in the Pre Press department as the assistant manager.
