We are not all trailer queens, and I'm far from a tool. If the Camaro came out with something between 2002 and 2009 I might of bought one. Instead I upgraded!

looks like youre going to have some nice eye candy. i was sitting at a gas station at my school in ohio, and a damn parade of vettes drove by with police escorts. took 10-15 minutes for all of them to pass.

I dont think carlisle is big enough for those ego's........ **** vettes and their gay *** owners! They only hate fbodies so much since we get the same performance at half the price :)

I just heard that Carlisle got pounded by storms yesterday and lots of damage was done. What a shame. Here's a link to some pictures.

Wow, that sucks. It will be interesting to see how the various insurance companies pay up. Def. something to watch.

I see a lot of those cheap 10x10 ez-up canopies spewed all over the place. Like the one I have. Come on boys, you have to take them down when the weather come in.

that effin blows! i would imagine most massive gatherings like that have some type of insurance to cover such things...? i've gone every year for the last 4 or 5 except this year, picked the right one to miss i guess. that's a terrible shame.

i was out there today. not to many show cars, i guess they all left after the storm. i was told that the storm dropped into town mid-parade.
a few nice cars, mostly the typical trailer queen and for sale for only eleventy billion dollars stuff. didn't really see anything too rare though. a few nice stingray big block cars and the normal handful of fuelies, that was about it.

I left there sat around 2:30 in the afternoon, it was sunny with not a cloud in the sky. Wow! I was lucky enough! It was just too damn hot too hang around.

I didn't go this year. Don't really care for vettes built after 1982.

something thats seen more track time than 98% of the vettes there

Ahhh ok..so that makes you cool  Nice.

You know there's like 3 vettes on this site? How'd you come up with that 98% figure ;)

EDIT: For the record I'm just busting your balls. Remember, not all vette owners are pompous ********. Just like not all fbody owners are 5th grade dropout, sister screwing inbreds.

im just being a smart *** too:)...but i was referring to the corvette guys at carlisle, you know you have to agree with me on that one (both the le-douches and track time) lol

I agree to a point. There's a very rigid line separating the "car guys" that own 'vettes and the "corvette" owners. Does that make any sense? lol

NJSPEEDER

all you have to do if you want to see the dividing line is ask them what they drive.
"What do you drive?"
real car guy answer: "'06 Z06 with some bolt ons"
'corvette' guy answer: "1963 Corvette Coupe. It has 500 miles sinc ethe restoration was completed 3 years ago"

i don't mind a nicely restored car, but i will never understand how someone coudl spend $100k+ to restore a car and then not drive it. there is not a car i have ever dreamed of that the dream involved rolling the car off of a trailer and pulling out a lawn chair.

haha if i ever go back i'd have some fun:p

me: what do you drive?
owner: ZR1 with spray
me: awesome

me: what do you drive?
owner: split window with 53 original miles
me: so...what do you drive?
owner: i just told you
me: no, you told me about your 6 figure garage ornament, while youre out there wiping it with a diaper and jerking it the pool boy is ******* your wife

If it means anything if I keep the vette I'm juicing the balls off of it. :D

# 2 corvette owner here....Ive owned a 1976 corvette, a 1986, also a 1988, and finally a 1998 corvette. But I started out this whole sherade with a 1991 z28 5.0l tpi. Red outside red interior inside, ttop's with flowmasters. Im an aircraft painter/ sheetmetal fabricator for the airforce. One thing I don't miss about camaro's is breaking down all the time. Ive never met a fellow vette owner that uses there Corvette as a planter, or aka a lawn ornament. How many camaro's sit outside and rot away. Ill drive down my street and find you atleast 3 or 4 planters.

Frosty

See what I'm talking about? lol I've seen some 'vette planters man, get off the high horse ;)

I'm actually thinking selling mine soon, I want a WS6. I love the car..but meh, I like feel of a Fbody better.
