iv been building this kit car for a little over a year now (i guess it most resembles a GT40) but i bought some corbeau seat for it but cant get them to fit in the car there about 2 inches too wide and after lots of trying i gave up. they have been sitting wrapped up in my garage for about 6 months now and realize i have nothing to do with them. so i decided i might as well put them in the camaro i wanted to know if anyone has seats like these in there cars and how they work with the stock seat belts. also if anyone has pictures id like to see how they would look. thanks.

You'll prolly have to post up pics or at least a model name. Corbeau makes lots of different seats....

They will work with stock seat belts but most likely you will end up fabricating your own seat mounts. I have a set of Racing seats in my car and I had to make my own. I know Corbeau makes brackets but they are pretty costly for F-bodies.

the seats are forza 2's and yea the brackets are like 80 bucks. kinda sucks i didn't really wanna spend much money just wanted to use the seats that have been gathering dust in my garage. but i was really just worried about how they would work with stock seat belts im already worried there gonna look ricerish there's no way I'm gonna put harnesses in.

How would a factory seat belt look ricer-ish? Its safety and its function who gives a crap?
I have my factory seat-belt still in my car. The seats are black & my belts are black. I have a Y-Harness thats replacing the factory seat-belt shortly and it looks exactly like a factory seat-belt but with a harness coming through the seat.

How do these harnesses attach? Many of the ones I see in 'ricers' are not safe.

I agree. The only problem is w/o the guide the belt may ride too high.

Heres my stock seat-belt sitting loose with my racing seats. its super uncomfortable.

And my new Harness thats replacing it. They came with the seats and were cheap. They will be mounted into the stock seat-belt location for the lap belt, and the Y is attached to my roll bar.

so it is uncomfortable, then does anyone know of harnesses that attach to the stock locations and doesn't look bad?

I haven't seen a set of safety harnesses that mount to stock locations aside from the lap belt section. You can't just cobble the shoulder harnesses any which way, either. In an accident improperly installed shoulder harnesses can lead to compressed discs and all kinds of serious spine injuries.
Something to remember abot Y harnesses as well- they are no longer certifiable under SFI Spec 16.1, so they won't be NHRA legal, unless they were manufactured before the new rule was in place (in which case they are grandfathered).
In your case I would use the race seats but see if I could create my own type of shoulder guide. Or, alternatively you can look into installing a roll bar and harnesses, but that is much more $.
The other option is to sell the seats, IMO.

i was thinking i might be able to run the shoulder belt through the spot where the harness goes and it might not be uncomfortable. but if not your right selling them would be better then them getting wasted in my garage, kinda suck there really nice seats.
