September Monthly Meet - South Jersey

[NJSPEEDER]

Back to South Jersey for September which means another trip back to one of our favorite meeting spots, the Texas Roadhouse in Millville. The meet will be held on Saturday, September 29th.
The usual plan, show up around 11:30 or so, head inside to eat around noon.

There will be a limited supply of club vinyl for sale at the meet!!!

We look forward to seeing everyone at the Texas Roadhouse. Our normal rules of no burnouts or driving like an idiot at the meet site apply as always.

from stockton you could head straight south to rt42 west, then jump onto 55 south. it really shouldn't be more than a 30-40 min drive depending on traffic, and i would suspect that most of the traffic would be headed the other way to get to AC anyway.
it only takes jsut over an hour to get there from ewing, so i can't imagine it would take more than half that for you to get there from school.

I may be down the shore that weekend (winterizing the boat), in which case there is a slight chance that I could go. If you'd be willing to drive the short distance to Forked River I could follow you from there IF I am able to go.

Central New Jersey lies directly on the road that is known as 541 or Georgetown Road...for those who have been to where I used to live can attest that is the same road I used to live on. your logic is slightly flawed, but that's ok it's easy enough to rectify. if the whole state is 185 +/-, then it's straightforward to divide the state in thirds, each third falling roughly 60 miles from the north border and south border, and each third occupying 60 +/- miles north to south. if you follow that, then route 72 and south is south jersey (drawing as straight a line as is possible, trying to follow a "natural" border). there is no "natural border" to define the north from central, but west to east the towns that are on the line are: Byram, Rosemont, Sergeantsville, Larison's Corner, Zion, Harlingen, Griggstown, North Brunswick, Sayreville, Laurence Harbor. now, everyone north of that line lives in north jersey. everyone south of that line, but north of route 72 lives in central jersey. and, finally, everyone south of 72 lives in south jersey.

to settle the larger point that seems to occupy this argument, north brunswick is on the line, but east brunswick is central jersey. trenton, ewing, hamilton square are all central jersey. new brunswick is north jersey. i can't believe i used to drive to bridgewater everyday; what the hell was wrong with me? :mrgreen: :D :mrgreen:

i agree. at this point, however, i will just wait until i put her in mothballs for the winter. all that's really needed is some easy wiring, new fuel filter (fuel tank could probably use a little cleaning out, as well, even if it ain't the original), oil change, coolant system flush and change and for me to stop procrastinating and put the new headliner in.

i really only want a chase car to be safe. you know what they say... better safe than having to call a wrecker on the parkway. :D :rofl: :mrgreen:
