So the summer is almost over and I havent really made it out to any of the casinos. My dad and his g/f know that my fun filled weekend consisted of myspace on friday night and a lifetime movie on sat. night (lmao) They wanted to go to Harrahs for a few hrs and get some drinks and play the machines....after all..it is 2 mins from my house.
So around 10 my dad n his gf and me and Ant decide we are going to go out- we get infront of Trump Marina and we see 4 black YOUNG kids out in the grass - my dad said...i hope they arent throwing rocks...he didnt even get rocks out of his mouth fully when BANG!!!! A rock went through the back 3/4 window of my dads gf's CRV. Shattered the glass....I felt glass hit my face. My dad drove over the grass median and proceeded over Trumps grass until he was a foot from the kids. Him and Ant got out and ran after them. My dad got one and was on top of him screaming in his face...and Ant took off. I was so upset I almost forgot who I was suppose to call. About 10 cops got there and Trump Security....Cop took the kid my dad had and we found out he was 12!!!!
I didnt know where Ant went and someone pointed over to the projects and said he went that way after 3 kids. I got in one of the cops face...who was no bigger then me...and told him he needed to take me over there so i could find Ant. He ended up sending cops over there.....i was a reck.....I thought he was going to get jumped or shot over there (yeah its really that bad there) Finally a cop radios in that they got another one of the kids that did it and Ant.... Turns out that Ant ran over a mile after the kids. One came up behind him with a brick so Ant grabed him and started screaming before the kid could react. (he's lucky) He had the kid so scared the kid gave him his cell phone - it died when he went to use it though *figures* --The kid he caught was the oldest (not sure of his age) the other 2 were around 8!!!! -unreal-
So now dad and the g/f are at the station doing a report and pressing charges....of course...the kids didnt know each other...and had no idea where one antoehr lived..and they were out of town so their parents werent here. The cop bursted their bubble when he told them they were going to sit in juvi. jail until they were informed of who they were and where their parents where. Ill find out what happened once my dad gets back. --just glad we are all ok and just the car window is broke.
Looks like I shoulda listened to Demonicbird and went to the CI meet afterall.........

Wow Kels, that had to be freakin' horrible overall experience. :omg: :x
Looks like I shoulda listened to Demonicbird and went to the CI meet afterall.........Yeah maybe, but it still might've happened to them and then there would've be no one left to stay in the car with your dad's gf too. ;)
I didn't make it out to the meet tonight either LOL.
In other news I might be coming down there to visit Greg again and to maybe establish me some 'status' at the casinos this week, trying to get a room and some comp'd meals LOL, maybe I'll see ya.

sorry to hear about that but its just the locals normal behavior. my dad just bought a place just off MLK BLVD(not to live there...rent/sell) and while we were working on it these little black kids just walked in with a pitbull, and started touching stuff. your talking about people with nothing to do but start with people. I don't give a rats *** if its politically correct or not, but I live in whats called a "section 8" area. Our lovely state decided to do that about a year after I moved here. Basically, its cheap housing only made available to "African Americans"(we have a shorter word were I'm from) displaced by "urban development". So they're taking them out of AC to raise property value and moving them to Galloway and Absecon. Sense then I've had windows SHOT out graffiti on my moms car me and my brother have both been jumped. they are scumbags, your windows, someone else's windows, its just senseless BS. it needs to stop

typical. i bet they weren't acting scared, either, because they have probably been through all of this before. mom is a crackhead and who knows who the father is. so basically, they go through their formative years with zero supervision and we wonder why the jails are full of blacks.
anyway, glad everyone is ok. have the cops said yet whether they will pay for the window? or will it, most likely, have to be paid by your auto insurance company?

Well apparently maybe this is what we should have done anyway. So my dad n his gf were at the police station for atleast 2 hrs and No one could figure out where the kids were that were suppose to be in this holding area.....but they were listed to have been there. Well apparently the cop knew all 4 kids and just decided to take them home. I talked to my neighbor who is a retired cop here in AC and now has a higher title doing other things....he said that even by pressing charges nothing will happen bc the parents dont have anything to pay 4 the new window and the judge will just give them probation.....WOOPIE DOO! :-x Where's the justice in this country??

well actually, its not beig used to raise property value. they are trying to get rid of them out of A.C. because of iminent domain so they can clean up A.C. where the walk is, used to be a bad neighborhood, and still is. My sis worked at the starbucks there, and one night her car was broken into, and the parking lot was a few blocks away. The state has nothing to do with placing them there. Those condos are owned by peopel who rent them out to people like them. they really have nowhere else to go and the rent is affordable ( barely) for them, and its ashame my hard earned mone goes to these people to use the system, and thats what you get in rturn, rocks thrown at your car. Thats how pleasentville became a bad place, it as a nice town till the casino's moved in. cheap, and close to the city for jobs made it a major living area for people with less then medium class income. Its a shame those kids will probably never learn from this, even if they went to juvi. Looking tough is the only thing that matters to them anymore cause they themselves have no leadership in life from their parents, which make them look for acceptance, no matter what kind of consiquences are dealt to them.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Section_8_(housing) ...and because of the AC development NJ has mandated areas here in Galloway and Absecon. You can't tell me I'm wrong cause I've spoke with the head of the unit owners commission about getting cameras put in(which we have now with a direct feed to the new police station and a web site to view on) and thats how i found out about section 8.

The area where The Walk is - is starting to re-develop...Slowly...it's hard to keep the problems 100% out though. I use to work at that Starbuck's too....whats ur sisters name? Their parking is 2-3 blocks away from the place in a secluded area...thats one of the reasons I left there. I wasn't into walked to my car at night alone....I had fresh prey written all over me.
I live in the nice section over here....but the nice section is over powered by the bad sections. It's going to be a LONG time before this place is 100% in order.....if it ever even happens. I am just glad it was just a window and not something more serious.
Thank you for everyones concerns

well a.C. is not a normal city to be honest. Its a casino city, and the problem wiht that is, the way the city makes money is to have peopel blow their money there, so theres alot of people who lost alot of money in the pursuit of winning now living there and cant get out cause they have no money to find a place nor move, so that is why imminent domain is made, so they cna get them out one way or another. alot fo those people have no money or little, and rely on unemployeement and welfare to live off of. personally, stop giving them it, when I was on unemployement, it made me not want to go out and find a job cause I had sufficiant amount of money coming in, so if that would stop, it would make them go find a job, at least try to, and even at that tho their attitude towards customers is very poor, im sure im nto the only one that gets little or no friendly service in a place ran by people of certain ethnicity in an area such as that. I can recall a subway story, btu I wont get into it. I love all races, and such, im a very open person, but there are times when I say that its people like those kids that threw the rocks, that give their ethnicity a bad name, and yet they want respect. as Matthew 7:12 says, because their such religious people, Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you.

here's a question for you: would the world really miss those four?
i'm not saying that they have zero potential, but considering the road they're on, would the world really miss them if they weren't on that road and actually reached adulthood to become the criminals we all know they will be? if a person in that predicament, with a 99% probability that they will end up murdering someone at some point in their life, were to really take stock of their situation, i think they'd go find some rope.
i think everyone has the potential to become a positive force in society, but they have to have had the proper guidance at some point. since we know they haven't had it yet, who's to say they will receive it? instead of becoming a statistic, most likely to commit crimes in adulthood, why not end the problem now before some family loses a loved-one?
i know this is really negative, but i was just thinking out loud. it's a real good "what-if", though.

You are exactly right with that though. I have to drive through "Back Maryland Ave" aka the projects....to get ANYWHERE.....Route 30, Expressway, Brigantine.....So I have no choice but to drive through it. I can drive through there during the week and during the day when ALL school aged kids are in school......I must say that I see just as many school aged kids running around there as I do on a Sat. in July! So like someone else mentioned.....these kids have no parently guidence. Mother doesnt care and doesnt have the money for the kids to have things that they want and need (so the kids steal the stuff from others instead) Who knows where the father is- they aren't going to school......*isnt that great for Future America* - and the law lets them get away with EVERYTHING....Again as someone stated....it's almost like the law is protecting the criminals!!:banghead:

well what is the law gonna do...no matter what in they're mind they're "cool". going to jail is like a badge of honor to these tards...we need to find an island(or buy a large piece of land on a certain south Atlantic continent) an do what Britain did...put all the criminals there and let them survive on they're own.

Damn Kels,
So sorry to hear about that. Your dad is such a nice guy. Pisses me off that bad things happen to good people. Not that it will make you feel any better but i didn't do **** this weekend either. Beat up from work so i just played Madden on X-box lol. The thing that is really bad is that this is just a random act. Even here in Margate there a few cases of out of control kids. The lady next door to me had her car vandalized twice.
Back to the AC, I think AC is alot better than it once was. My father was a cop here for 25 years and was Capt of the juvenile dept. He used to tell me about the kids that lived in the projects where the walk is now. I do tons of work in AC and have parked my F-Bodies all over the city. Haven't had a problem but i do feel paranoid sometime. Hope everything works out

How do you know they are on section 8? Some kids that come from decent/good neighborhoods get caught up with the wrong crowd. True there a tons of section 8 apartments/some homes but not all are section 8. Also true some of the trash has been pushed off the island into area's like Galloway (The Clubs/The Landings) I know 1st hand because my 2nd Apt was at the Landings I paid my $900 a month rent every month but alot of the scumbags didn't and thats my point you can't always assume certain things. What happened to you and your family is truly ashame.

well the thing you have to understand is I live there. the thing that isn't normal about here Is certain buildings are mandated to have section 8 housing. the front area in the complex i live in is standard housing, the back area is has 4 section 8 buildings (6 apartments each) the clubs have much more. the thing is though the owners have no choice in the matter. they either rent section 8 or sell to someone who will. I live in Mattix Crossing. and like I said before, I've talk with the unit owner and found out what the deal is.
