I'm now home from the s***hole rehab center I was at for two weeks and a day, and hobbling around on crutches at a very slow pace. I can take stairs and can crutch my way pretty much as far as i need to. I'm also confident I'll be driving within the week.

And now for the bad...the doctors have dropped dosage on my meds and given me just enough pills to last me 10 days...yet my next appointment is in 14. Of course now I've been moving around alot more than at the nursing home so my leg hurts 10x more and 10x more often than it use to(and let me reiterate...they dropped my dosage and my # of pills). Also, I finally got around to checking out my backpack that i was wearing during the accident. Aside from being ripped and useless, my '05 prostock autococker was destroyed when i hit the ground, and my "egg" hopper is gone...im assuming it was in a billion pieces so they threw it out at the scene.

Obviously i know i shouldn't worry about my possessions and just be happy i'm alive but it still just bums be out quite a bit on top of the fact that im in much more pain than ive been in.

Once again I want to thank everyone for their prayers and good wishes and kind words and cards and visits and especially trips to fuddruckers! and everything else I really appreciate it very much. That's all for now and i hope to catch up with everyone soon.

You're probaly better off they are weaning you off them. My little neice had ankle surgury that went bad and the poor girl was on pain meds so long they had to detox her.

Make the girl that hit you buy you a new gun!

Sorry to hear that you lost more than you thought. I know what you mean - you should be thankful that you weren't hurt more severely, but that doesn't make damage to your personal possessions through the fault of someone else ok.

Hopefully everything will get worked out very much in your favor in the courtroom, and you'll make a speedy and full recovery.

My offer of "If you need anything - just call" still stands.

- Justin

It's good to hear that your home now and able to move around. Sorry about your stuff that got destroyed. Once you get your check you'll be able to replace it all. The only part that really matters is that you ok...bc you can't be replaced!! :)

ditto on what's already been said. be patient during the healing process and the court process - both can take quite a bit of time and need to be done right for the outcome to be beneficial to you. you're better off without the meds, believe it or not, and if you overdo it you can always pop some aleeve or ibruprofen. tylenol might work, too, but on a much more limited basis.

feel better.

hitting her with every ticket you possibly can and forcing her to fight them only serves to strengthen your lawsuit. if it is a typical accident the cops prolly only issued a few tickets, not enough to cover the full scope of the damage done to person or property and definately not enough to explain what happened.
pin her to the wall of everything. the court will figure out what she is to be held accountable for all along the way. sinc eit was a traffic accident with personal injury, you may even be allowed to do a victim impact statement before they decide punishment.

thanks alot everyone as mentioned all the kind words are very much appreciated.

Tim, she was only issued one ticket from the cop so I'm probably going to hit her with a few more.

Under different circumstances, I'd say don't pin her with a lot of ****.... but her ignorance, stupidity and carelessness damn near killed you. **** that *****.

and here i thought you said **** that ****. which is what he should do. throw everything at her that you can - it'll make it that much more difficult to defend herself and her actions, regardless of the lawyer she gets. throw a heap of **** on anyone and they won't walk away smelling like a rose.

hey man, glad to hear you're home and doing well. i too am a rider and what happened to you is my nightmare. in this case hitting her with everything you can isn't vindictive, it's more than justified and certainly beneficial to your civil suit. I can't believe the cop only gave her one ticket, too bad you can't sue him too, lol.

ib profen helped me a lot when i broke my leg many years ago and they started cuttin down the meds. they give out rx's of 800mg horse pills of that stuff so u could probably get away with takin a few more than over-the-counter directions says you should if gets really bad.

i wish u all the best bro. glad it's your pb gun that's in pieces and not you.
