http://assets.espn.go.com/i/story/design07/dropQuote.gif [Tom Coughlin] robbed me of what had been one of the most important things I had in my life, which was the joy I felt playing football. http://assets.espn.go.com/i/story/design07/dropQuoteEnd.gif

What a jerk. Whether he had issues or not with teammates or the coaching staff, he should keep it between him and the people he has issues with. Airing out his cry-baby feelings only makes him look bad, and may even prevent him from opportunities in the future. Who wants to work with a cry-baby who whines and complains when he doesn't get his way?

What gets me the most is the complaint about being "underpaid $10 million". STFU Tiki. You got paid millions, enjoy what most of the rest of the world can't, and stop blaming others.

I lost a lot of respect for this little jacka $ $ crybaby. he's probably going to say he didn't meet certain criteria for statistics due to Brandon Jacob getting goal line touchdown and he was screwed of the the $10 mil that way or something lame. Sorry your whimpy girl attitude couldn't take a coach that isn't a push over and does things his way.

Oh yeah, STFU Tiki. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

why tim thinks tiki sucks moose balls part 5,246,392

he was, is, and always will be a hack and a weak runner. yeah, he had more carries than everyone else by a lot, but he still didn't have the most running or total offensive yards for running backs.
he is a chump and an absolutely terrible sports caster. i hope he falls in the hudson river.

Same here. I think Tiki actually owes a lot to Coughlin. He was an average back at best who constantly fumbled the ball for most of his career. Then when Coughlin came in, he made sure Tiki knew how to protect the ball and Tiki ended up having his best seasons under him. And it really pisses me off that he's got this attitude now like the team is doomed without him. Does he forget that we never won a Super Bowl during his 10 seasons?

really...the giants don't need tiki...yes he was a great back after he figured out how to hold the ball, but he has moved on and he have to deal with it...are the giants in the best shape running game wise?? no...i think between us passing up on brian leonard in the draft and jim finn out for the year and the fact we will have to rely on eli this year mainly, i think it will be a long year...but it is a rebuilding year and he have to strap in and live with it...one of two thins will happen...1) the giants play awesome as a TEAM and make the playoffs, or 2) they bomb completely and we can hope for a good draft pick in the draft where we can pick up a RB there or as a free agent...

PS- F&%k Tiki for his comments...Coughlin helped you become a star back and you should thank him...just cause he is a very tough coach does not make him a bad one...Tom, keep doing what you are doing...as a giants fan i am pleased with his work so far, i just hope they won't run him out of town like they did to Jim Fassel...

Coughlin is an idiot and Tiki is the best back the Giants ever had. Anybody who has played any sport under a sucky coach knows how much they can ruin the game for you.

EDIT: Tiki had 3 1000+ yd seasons before Coughlin got there. Just throwing that out there.

If a career average of 4.7 yards per carry is average at best, I want to know what good or great is. Would that be Ladanian's 4.5 career average?! He was and apparently still is one of the most underrated backs in my lifetime.

If Coughlin was such a problem for Tiki then why didn't he ask to be traded? With the clout he carried on the Giants, why didn't he walk into the front office and say "It's either me or him?" He sure has no problem saying it now. If he did that chances are Coughlin wouldn't have been brought back for another year.

I never brought up numbers, but okay...Tiki's got 10,448 yards and 55 TDs in 10 seasons. Tomlinson has 9,176 yards and 100 TDs in his first 6 seasons. I said Tiki was average for most of his career before Coughlin. His Pro Bowl years only came at the end. Over the course of their careers, right now Tomlinson is the better back. Look, I've been a Giants fan all my life and Tiki is the best back in their history. But to be fresh into retirement and act like this is unnecessary.

You are the first Giants fan I've heard defend Coughlin. The only thing Coughlin did was fill up a slot that could have been taken by John Fox or Sean Payton. Multiple players under Coughlin have claimed he has ruined the game for them. I can completely understand that, having played for a sucky basketball coach before. And I'll admit he helped Tiki with the fumble thing, but you have to understand players get better with experience. I don't think anyone can claim Herman Edwards made Curtis Martin into a great back despite the fact he had his best seasons under him. Teams and players change and adjust.

Tiki has been a class act his whole career and did not speak out on much until the last year of his career. I'm not quick to judge someone that I respect as much as Tiki so quickly, especially when his complaints are about Tom Coughlin.

I never said I was defending Coughlin. Trust me, there's plenty of coaches out there I'd rather have. But I give him credit for helping Tiki become a better running back. But if we did have a different coach, do you think it would be any different? The main problem with our team is we have too many veterans that don't like to be told what to do. What did Fassel say to them before he left, "Are you trying to get me fired?" In Tiki's case, out of respect for the team you've spent your whole career with, you shouldn't make fun of your QB on national, live TV, then go out and bash the coach no matter how you feel. Not saying that it will, but it could have an effect on how the team plays this year. And, no disrespect, but to quit playing a game you love because of one bad coach, to me it shows the game really wasn't that important to him. Before these recent comments, Tiki kept saying it was the grind of the game and how he felt it was starting to take a toll on him physically. I can understand that and respect that. But with his recent comments it's like what the hell is this guy's deal?

Guess we can't know for sure eh? I'll leave it at I don't like Couhglin and Tiki was a good runningback. I'm a Jets fan anyways, LOL.
