Ever since I bought my 98 Formula earlier this year, I have noticed it grinding here and there putting it in different gears. Every once in a while it wouldn't even let me put it in gear. After doing some research, I found I needed to install a new 99+ F-body master and slave cylinder. Not being knowledgable enough in the transmission department, I knew I would end up taking it somewhere, but new to the area, and having lots of bad luck with other performance shops in the past, I needed to be carefull on who I picked.

I ended up choosing Josh at JS Performance in PA to do the work. His shop was small and not too flashy unlike some of the other shops I have been to. But after talking with him I felt assured that he would take care of my car, and do a good job. After everything was finished, he gave me a good price, and he did an outstanding job on the new slave and master cylinder installation. My car feels A LOT better now, and is actually enjoyable to drive.

Josh is upfront with you, and doesn't hide anything. IMO, he doesn't need a big flashy shop, because he will be successful doing the good honest work he is and has been doing. If anyone is looking for a good performance shop in the area, I HIGHLY RECCOMEND JS Performance.

His shop does have a nice car standing outside marking the shop though! ;-)

It was nice meeting you there Ben. So far I also have great things to say about Josh @ JSPerformance. I always have a good time when I go all the way out there to check up or add some funds to my account! I think what helps the atmosphere of his shop is you are leaving your car with someone who is just as enthusiastic if not more then you about your own car!

Nice meeting you as well Alex. After talking with Rich on the way back, it seems you and I have similar histories with our silver LT1 Z28's. Mine originally was just a head and cam LT1, until the place I got it done at nicked a cam bearing when installing my CC306 cam, and I ran the bearing through the motor until the insides of my motor was a metal shavings nightmare! But, on the plus side, thats what led me to my killer deal on my 383 I now have, which I later supercharged. It was a long while though that my car spent much more time on jackstands than it did on the streets.

It made me realize though that you definatly can't trust certain performance shops out there. I had a few more less catastrophic incidents with other shops later that made me realize that more. JS Performance is definatly not one of those shops though. Josh will get you taken care of. Good luck with your car man.
