thirdgens handle better then 4th gens in the twisties. My 86 with sfc's and a wonderbar can do onramps better then my 96

Ok, this thread should of not gone farther then 1 page. Bubba, you really think you could handle a road course? i dont care how much time you've had on the streets, a road course is completely different, right down to the compund they use in the tarmac.and it takes more then 1 lap to get used to a place, my first lap at Lime Rock was around 1:10, by the 5th or 6th lap it was down to 1:06, and especially someone like you who has NO experience will take longer, as well as a car with stock suspension, I know our cars do come from the factory wiht adequete suspension....if oyur a Z28 or SS, but us V6's need a few gadets to handle properly. If this race goes down, I will no doubt get involved in this little betyou guys have goign on, cause I just want to take a few laps round there regardless of this little fight oyu two are having. Idk how this all started or gotten to road racing, but some peopel on here need to know their place, adn know when to not speak.

heads up.....on a road course, its not drag racing, and no, jsut 5 laps, 1 warm up lap, and then 5 from there. and you should care about what school i went to, that school shows you things that you dont understand in normal conditions, I already have the upper hand for most things, suspension, technique and experience, and enough motor to get me moving. plus you got plenty of time to work those bugs out, cause it shouldnt be open till spring. that'll should give you enough time to build your engine again and find out where you went wrong during the build. But like i said, everyone on here read my callout on you, so this isnt just one of our little wagers that never work out, im serious this time.

uh, my cars been ready. if there is any additional requirements by the sanctioning bodies of the race track, im more then happy ot purchase and have them installed. this track has been making news. In my vVintage Motorsports magazinesthey already have an add for it, pretty neeat too, but like I sadi they already broke ground a couple months ago, so they said as long as they stay o track, this spring/summer we should have acomplete track, it wont be entirely complete ( club houses n such) until 2011, but for now they jsut want to get the track laid up and running. even if we cannot go on the main track, if they have auto-x there, ill do that instead, it doesnt matter, i want to run him and show that the mind makes you think things that in reality you go , ok, maybe not what I had in mind.

This thread is absolute non-sense. I even went to the same school as Jeff and I still don't know it all. I must have put 11 laps down on Lime Rock and I'm still no race car driver by any means. No matter how much Grand Turismo I've played or driving my car hard on twisty roads . Nothing compares to track time in a properly prepped car.

Hell I'll challenge Bubba with my car on a road course!

Ok so its Bubba vs Wayfast, me, arock, and I think deadtrend put his hat into the ring, im liking this lineup lol. and alex ,I know we wnetto the same school and track, but didnt oyu take the 1 day course? idk how indepth they gte when they teach you, but for the three day Im sure they taught us alot more. we didnt get to run open laps wiht out a pace car or stopping on the front stretch until the last day, which I did just as many laps in my first session as you did I guess your whole time at the school. but you may not think you didnt learn anything, but im sure you have, you just havent used it yet lol. If everyones making fun of us for trying to make a race on a track that doesnt exist yet, then how about we sign up for test n tune at Lime Rock. they only get a few days out of the year for it and I think we just missed one, but its not that far away, its a historical track, in fact it jsut celebrated 50 years, and it was known as one of the hardest tracks in the world at one time!!! due to a bad tarmac mixture, and the track layout. so if your all down for that, go to limerock.com and see when the next session is cause im ready to go.
