to leave for boot is officaly January 7th 2008. No ifs ands or buts about it. I can't wait. The semester just started and I can't wait for it to be over. My old recruiter got shiiped out and now I have this new one and he is an awesome guy. I've been running everyday and getting better and better. I think I got one of my buddies to enlist so I'm going to get my dress blues for free instead of having to pay $400 for em.

Since I had my date changed I had to go off of the new job list and there is like 2 MP jobs open so I put that in as my first choice. If I dont get that I'm going for aircraft mech. Both are 5 yr enlistment instead of 4 but it'll only be 3 yrs after my 5 that they can call me up and activate me again.

With every passing day I'm getting more and more psyched. I'm getting more into the right state of mind and I'm loving it.

Congrats and good luck.

The MP's definately don't have it easy, however its a great way to jump into civilian law enforcement when your commitment is up.

Many people will tell you to keep your head down. I keep telling them to keep it up - you can see what's coming your way, and react to it better.

Thanks guys. We went running saturday morning and all the recruiters ran too. There were like 8 of us poolees and 5 recruiters. All said and done I finished second with a close third. The top three we are all goin gout for MP jobs and the rest are either infantry or some type of lame desk job. The recruiters figured out how us future MPs beat out the infantry guys and damn they were sayin some funny stuff. They were callin em grunts and everything.

The more and more I hang out with my recruiter the more I know I'm going to love this lifestyle.

it can be a family atmosphere, like a home away from home type thing, for some guys. for others, it can be a living hell. going into it with your attitude, though, is a major plus. i think you'll excell among your fellow enlistees and emerge top of your class. that should help you nail down the job you want. it's not all about the asvab.

I got Aircraft Mech. 5 yrs instead of 4. I got my buddy to sign so right now I get my bookbad and some other Marines crap. My recruiter is looking into whether or not I can be bumped up from PFC to LCPL. I hope so that would be badass. I got another buddy of mine lined up. Hopefully I get him to sign.

Hell yea Ted!!! Thats one badass pic.
