View Full Version : 94 camaro Hood Non functional to functional

i have the stock hood on my 94 camaro. i want to remove the part with the black plastic inserts and make it functional. Where could i get the mesh to put there and will rain enter my engine bay and damage stuff??

Its held in by 4 screws if you were interested. You drop the 4 threading nuts and that entire area pops out from the top.

I had to replace my opti in my 97 SS, what a nightmare!!!!

I doubt the opti would get any water on it. Even so, still a useless idea ....

It will all be for nothing, IF you can even pull it off.

Ductwork to the airbox to create a functional ram air may not fit under the hood, not to mention that the air will be making two 180* turns, and the slope of the hood may be such that the area where the vents are doesn't see a high enough pressure to create any type of effect (like a 78-79 Z28 stinger hood), and you will be passing ductwork over the hot engine, thus heating it up and negating any power gain.
