as the contract is extended on an hour-to-hour-basis, the liklihood of them reaching an agreement shortly is hopeful (http://business.scotsman.com/latest.cfm?id=1482722007).

an awful lot of people are going to be affected if the talks stall and a strike is called...

Hopefully they will get the healthcare issues sorted out and get a contract that is more in favor of GM than in years past.
