polishing fuel rails/intake

what do you guys use for polishing fuel rails? mine are pretty dirty and I'd like to clean them up. also, what do you use to polish the top lines of an LT1 intake?

When I did mine I used a dremel with a sanding wheel to polish the raised runners on my intake after I painted it. And for the fuel rail lines I used Mother billet aluminum wax and just put a few coats on with some elbow grease. They were still a little spotted but looked a lot better then before.

good deal. I still have to get the intake glass beaded as its quite oxidized. after that I'll have to bust out the old dremel. thanks alex.

If you're going to have the parts off the car just clean them up on a buffing wheel. Maybe wire wheel them first with a fine wheel then use some blue or white rougue to buff them out after.
And if you need the intake blasted let me know.....I'll hook you up.

I use 1000, 1500 then 2000 grit then a polishing wheel with white rougue. You can then tape off the polished areas and paint or powder coat the rest. or go nuts and just polish everything!

I started polishing my fuel rails with plain ol' aluminum polish when the car was new. They still have a mirror finish, with nothing more that a quick application of Mothers Billet Polish:

Blue Magic cream.. I have also used the dremel with the long flexible extension.. Does a great job to hard bufing spots that never been done..
