Sleep is a good thing! Sitting in front of the computer or tv for too long is a bad thing. My dog even reminds me if I've been on the computer too long. She comes over and grabs my arm to get away from the computer.

Your dog prolly thinks you are a bone and is trying to get you outside so she can bury you...

Yeah, I yelled at her the last time she did that. It took me all day to dig my way out. Now I just give her a buffalo wing and that keeps her happy.

Gastric bypass?

If so, you do know that you will REALLY be changing your life then. You will go from having a stomach that can hold a quart to one that can hold 4-5 ounces after it stretches a little.

I think you suck it up, change your eating habits, put away the keyboard and go exercise before you go to work.

Of course... I should take the same advice. :-?

Surgery is pretty extreme man. That may be a last effort if your health becomes threatened with the weight. Otherwise try to change your daily habits, and eat smaller meals, a few times throughout the day. Then take a walk before you go to work. You'll be amazed what a little fresh air and a little exercise can do.

Good luck with whatever your choice is.

I know how to lose weight, as well as gain it. Anyone who has known me for a while knows I yo-yo, I've gone from semi buff, to fat slob, to all points in between. I'm looking at the lap band as the final means to an end.

UB, we just need to switch to that diet beer Jeff drinks! Seems to work well enough for him!

UBG run everyday lie I do. Get in shape and see if you qualify for reenlistment. You'll be a true badass then. Or just run every day. Start samll, run around ur block first then raise the bar. I think you should just go chi9ll with a few recruiter for a while. They will kick you into shape.

I'm gonna be 42 in a couple of weeks. I think my reenlistmant days are waaaaaaay behind me. I tried to get back in during Desert Storm, and they told me I could get in, but my belly couldn't!

UBG, I'm with you on the lap band. From the little bit I read, it is much safer than gastric bypass and can be adjusted or removed. I happen to have a serious addiction to pizza, as well as other garbage that just isn't good for me. I've done the same things, losing weight and gaining it back. I'm giving it one more shot right now on my own, but I may resort to the lap band next year. Firebird67dude (Love the new avatar, by the way!), it ain't as easy for us old dudes as it is for you young bucks!

79,
One of my bosses at work had the lap band done, and he is doing well on it. And he is a BIG boy. So, I'm following his lead. I'm just like you...too much garbage in.
