with the new M/T street radials, (275 50 15) she hooks HARD, i didnt even do a burnout to heat em up, just drove around a lil bit and then played around with my rpms. 3k and lower it just fell on its face. it seems to like 3800-4000 rpm, it chirps a lil bit and doesnt spin or fall on its face. :D I'll have to get some pics/video sometime.

lol actually, before these drag radials, i was launching at 5,000rpm at the track, which means 5500+ rpm at the track now heheh. im gonna put the 12 bolt to the test
I give the 12 bolt half a season of beatings before it gives out. of course you will have gone through at least 2 trannys by the time that happens

Yep. The clutch.
ron, are you running a new clutch/fly with the new tranny or are you gonna reuse your old spec or whatever it is?

my ram powergrip HD is holding up quite well, so im gonna leave it in there. that should make it at least to the end of this year. my trans, i should have back in a week or 2, (depending on how long it takes to get an input shaft bearing) and my trans guy said this one should be bulletproof, but we'll see what happens. i didnt get anything cryo'd or faceplated, however theres alot more billet stuff in there now. :)
people often say 9in rears are bulletproof and you broke one of those

well, if the studs went, while he was burning out, that wouldn't be so bad. they could pick him up off of the track (and get the car, too) and put him in the pits/parking lot and he could fix it there. depending on what actually broke, it could be an easy fix. the clutch going == a ride home on a flatbed.
