I've been buying ON 100% Whey GS in the 10 lb bags for about 2 years now, and it's always been about $55 a bag. Now all of the sudden there is a "protein shortage" and it's up to $75 a bag! Anybody know if the price bump is just temporary or not?
um..its not 75 bucks online...

Check out the 10 lb bag. Vitamin World is a hair cheaper now, but it's still not $55.

July. I usually buy a couple of bags at a time to save on shipping costs. I realize that I might be late to the party and the price may have gone up a while ago, but I'm just seeing it now.

i paid 62.00 for my last 10lb bag of the same stuff at dynamic fitness in vineland nj south of most of yall. also, ANATOR P70 is like $30.00 cheaper at dynamic , instead of going to GNC and spending $90.00+ for it

if it works for gas, why shouldn't it work for whey protein?

Ron where the f is dynamic fitness? what road?
www.dpsnutrition.com is what ive been using for the past couple months, i order there all the time unless its gold card week at GNC. Ground shipping comes in 2 days which is sweet...
unfortuneately Pro-NOS whey is exclusive to GNC right now...and that is the goooooooood ****, but its also 45 bucks for a 3lb tub that has 20 servings or so in it. I generally take advantage of the BOGO half off deals..

Eh, I try to avoid GNC. Even with sales and gold card discounts their prices come out high. I usually only hit there to get an RTD or something in a pinch.

the only way to buy GNC is buy one, get one half off with the 20% discount...if you do the math it equates to just about every wholesale company you can find as far as 5 lb tubs and such are concerned.
they push muscletech products because thats one of the only companies that pays a decent commission when they sell it.

thats why i bought 15 pounds before the 'shortage', cuz it was projected that it would happen and i got in in time :)...creatine and test booster prices didnt go up though;)
someone share the "shortage" news with me, apparently I'm out of the loop  news probably didn't get to PA yet...

that's a 5lb container

Yeah, guys, I'm talking about the 10 pound BAG being up $20. Not a container. It's interesting that two 5 lb cans are cheaper than a 10 lb bag. So much for a volume discount.
that's a 5lb container
yes and we are talking about 10 pound BAGS here, not 5 lbs containers. i was the first one to make that mistake in the beginning of the thread.

Yeah, I was just pointing out the outrageous difference in price. My bad though, should have made that clear.

All good man, it's a price increase across the board.
I don't really care for MuscleTech's stuff because it seems overpriced for what you get, they make outlandish claims through huge advertisements, and this: http://www.chapter15.com/bin/chapter15_view_company?cid=1137663608
If they are in financial trouble they have to be cutting corners somewhere, and I can't help but think that their product quality has to have gone down.
