Whats was your first car and is there a somewhat interesting story attached to it. I'll kick this off...
My first car is the car I still drive today (in the sig.). A semi-rich couple up in Warren was selling it for 2500 and I jewed em down to 2 grand..mint condition with 139k on the ticker. So halloween night almost 2 years ago is when i bought her...i took the plate off my dads ram 1500 and put it on the back of the bird and drove it off the mountain. Good thing no cops ran the plate lol...
So this halloween will be the 2 year aniversary for me and Fiona:)

my first car was an 84 z28 bought it for 400 bucks, pulled the 305 out put in a mild 350 ran a 12.3 and i beat the hell out of it, doughnuts and burns every where. by the end it would brake down nearly everyday and id be up to 2am trying to get it running so i could get to school in the morning. drove it for a little over a year and sold it blown up for $1000. kinda miss it at times it was fun not caring how it looked just how fast it went.

my neighbor was moving out to bumblef*ck and they were only taking one car
he said i could have it for a case of beer, i gave him $20 and moved it into my driveway
it sat for a year and then i cleaned her up and beat the crap out of it
finally got rid of it when the trans went and every place i went wanted a small fortune to fix it
so i had a little fun with it before it was towed out of the driveway

1979 Ford Granada was the first car I drove when I turned 17. My Grandfather gave it to me, it was a I6 4door, and only had 40k miles on it. I drove it until I was 18 and a tire blew out on 195 heading down the shore, and I sold it shortly after. I could turn the key to the off position, run into wawa, get an iced tea and come back and toss the key back in the ignition before the motor fully shut off. It dieseled so bad and we could never get it to stop. I really wish I still had it, because it had a 9" rear in it, and woulda been a good sleeper for my 460 and c6.
The first car I ever bought was the Chevelle when I was 13-14. I cut lawns for 3 summers straight and saved every dollar from birthdays, holidays, and what not and bought it off a guy in Princeton for $800

1972 pontiac gran ville - wanna talk land yachts? 455 poncho motor, swapable with the 6l trans am motor (ask me how i know). at a little over 2 tons, it still ran a 14.7, without dad's knowledge or approval, natch. the car had air shocks in the back, which i proceeded to fill to the max, giving the car a nice '70s rake... had to reposition the headlights because the ***-end was so high in the air...
best story is i liked spinning the right drive tire, smokin it up big time. one time, with a passenger, i spun the left side (wasn't ready for it, never had it happen before, didn't know how to react...) and basically **** myself. it zigged, zagged and finally came to rest on top of a water main access pipe off the side of the road a bit. my passenger split, leaving me to try to talk the cop out of giving me a ticket (which he didn't) and then driving home (the car was indestructable) and explaining to dad why the front bumper was rolled under a little bit.

1995 Crown Victoria Police Interceptor was given to me by a family friend. Was coming home one night put my foot on the brake to stop pedal went striaght to the floor no break or Ebrake. Was close enough to my house to get it home though parked it and then i sawsmoke coming from my engine bay. Turns out the brake fluid hit my exhaust manifold and caught on fire as well my wireharness. After that my dad and i put brand new lines in and repaired the harness drove it till i lost 3rd completely in the tranny. Was a great 1st car built like a tank and had that torque, was a great sleeper

interesting story...hmmm. November 26th 2 years ago i was at a place called bay park. it was basically a huge parking lot wiht ramps that let me people put their boats in the water. Weeeeeellll...it was me, my buddy mike and 2 girls in my car and we went to that parking lot to sit by the water and ****. As we went to leave they all wanted me to do donuts and since i was aiming to impress i did them... LOTS of them until the car tunred itself off. It never turned back on...
Now she sits in a garage in Long Island for a new motor.. cant wait

My first car was a 1992 Camaro RS 3.1L. The car was very reliable and never gave me problems. I got it wrecked when I was 16 and me and my dad fixed it (new bumper and hood). I found the iroc and I had to make the choice between the two. If it had t-tops I woulda kept it and swapped in a 350.

my 88 was the first car. me n my dad were out looking for a "fun" car when i was 14 and we saw it sitting in a driveway in elmwood park. we stopped n asked the owner to give us a call if he ever wanted to sell it. sure enough 6 months later he called us and we bought it for 4500 with 65k miles on it just after my 15th birthday. ive had it for 6 years and it has 88k miles on it now and atleast 20k into it lol

My first car was an 85 Trans Am with a beat up 305.
Interesting story... One night on Woodhaven Road, I blew 9 holes in the driver side rear tire going 80+ and it still got me home without hurting the wheel.

'90 Honda Accord. It was :rice: out; Macco black paint job, american racing rims (15" rims w/ like 2' of fender gap i might add!), neons under it, Pep-Boys "shint tint" self tinting job (even used a magic marker to fill in holes in the tint on the windows), windshield washer lights, no A/C.
Hehehe...well i thought i was Johnny Lightning and raced the car whenever i could. I used "sport mode" on a car that had 145K miles on it. Long story short i had the car 6 months b/f i blew it up. I "N bombed" it from 4K RPMs, shifed it high (it was an auto) :burnout:. i finally blew the motor and trans and had to drive home not being able to make left hand turns (busted trans and axle). When i took it to the shop, the mechanic said to my dad he had no idea what i did to the car () and that it needed a new "everything"! lol :drive:

My first car was this 1985 Trans Am. I purchased it on my 17th birthday for $1,100 but wasn't able to drive it for another month. I met my first girlfriend with that car. After a year the 305 took a dump & I swapped a 350/TH350 out of a K5 Blazer. Had that car for another year and sold it for my Camaro.
I do plan on buying it back someday or one very very similar.

My first car was a used 1956 two door Chevy Belair. It had the stock 265 V-8 with a 4 barrel carb, power pack heads and 3 on the tree. I paid $225.00 for it in 1967. What would it be worth now? I drove the car to college and dated my wife in it. We were married in 1970 but my dad didn't think it would be reliable enough so he gave me a pristine '63 Chevy Biscane in trade for my '56. The kid my dad sold my '56 to never transferred the title. The police found my "X" car in a barn with a stolen 396 in it and came looking for me. Luckily my dad was able to explain the situation and keep me from going to jail. I hope the car was eventually restored and is on the show circuit today.

My very first car was a 1966 malibu "convertible" which was actually a hardtop with the roof cut off. My dad gave it to me when I was 14 so I would have something to do when I was hanging around his shop all summer. It had a 250 L6 and 3-speed manual. The PO who cut off the top also replaced the carpet with astroturf and punched drain holes in the floor.
The first car I had that I could actually drive (legally) was a 1971 camaro with a 350, 2bl, headers and straight exhaust. I paid $500 for it. It was black, with a vinyl top, and blue Z28 stripes painted all the way down to where the grille should've been. It had no wipers, no heat, and a cracked windshield. It was ugly, loud, slow, and was the only car I've ever had that I could drive through the mall parking lot without people walking out in front of the car.
I couldn't have been happier!
I'll post pics later.

 and what happened with the Biscayne?

"What happened to the Biscayne"? I'm digging down deep in my brain and all I remember is that I wrecked it on our honeymoon on the way back to Tallahassee. It got repaired and drove it back to FSU. I may have sold it back to my dad later on. My wife had a 1970 Toyota......BINGO......I remember now......I sold it to HER dad. Brain fart!!! I then purchased a 1968 HO Firebird with a 350/320 hp and a 4 speed. It was like the day it rolled off the showroom floor. I paid $2150 for it at a Ford Dealership. I loved that car.
Gas prices rose from 18 cents a gallon to 35 cents and the wife said we needed an economy car. I traded it in on a 1969 VW and only got $675 on trade. I never let her live that down and that's how I wound up with my '69 Camaro. I also miss our '70 Chevelle.

I feel fortunate to have lived during some very cheap and simple times over my last 59 years. $ .18 a gallon was not cheap even in those days considering the minimum wage was only $1.25 per hour. I worked on a construction crew the summer of 1966 where a 40 hour week only gave me about $40.00 bring home. I thought I was rich. I make that in an hour now but i'd go back to 1966 in a heartbeat.
None of us like paying nearly $3.00 a gallon for gas. I really feel bad for the poor families that live on so little each week and spend most of that money on fuel costs so they can make a "living". Sadly it's only going to get worse. I'll keep paying the high price of HIGH TEST for my big block because i'm not real crazy about the idea of feeding it recycled corn oil from McDonald's.

My first car was a 69 Camaro conv with a 6 cyl and Powerglide 2 speed automatic. My friends already had Mustangs so I had to get a Chevy to keep things balanced. I paid $2000 for it and drove it for a year before having Mercer County Vo-tech redo it for me. I was still in college and low on funds so that was a pretty good deal since all I had to pay for was the materials.

My first car was my step-father's 1981 Toyota Corolla. It was a little two-door that he used to let me borrow. I'd take that poor car out on Friday and Saturday nights with my buddies and do all kinds of stupid teenaged driver stuff, like neutral drops, donuts in the parking lot, and hitting railroad crossings at speed. Then one day, my folks bought a new car and the Toyota was mine...and so were the bills to keep fixing it. The foolishness stopped, much to the chagrin of my buddies.
My first Camaro was a black '83 with the enemic carbureted 2.8 and craptacular metric 200 tranny. Drove that sucker daily until I tossed a rod. Had another 'maro that was a rusted-out '75 with faded red paint (Where there wasn't any rust) and a chewed-up black vinyl roof. Had a strong 350, though. I put on an Edelbrock Performer intake and a Holley 600 carb with vacuum secondaries and a manual choke and chrome valve covers...yeah, those babies made that car faster. Thought I was hot excrement with that car. In the middle of trying to restore it while in college on a few hundred bucks a week, I let it go. Ah, the memories. At least I replaced that one with another non-running project.

First car was a 1970 Pontiac Firebird Formula 400 Ram Air IV. Bought it when I was 16 from a friend for $500. Spent a year working on it with parts I could find at swap meets, junkyards, and trusty Year One. Finally got it running and ran it for a while before eventually tinkering with it and throwing a blower on it. Raced it for a year before selling it to buy a numbers matching 1971 Super Bee to restore. It was my first of many F-Bodies and my first car. Mmm I need a new second gen now.

This brings back memories. My first car was a 1977 Trans Am that my brother took me to look at. Seems only fitting since I took him to look at my buddy's 1969 LeMans that he later bought. Anyways, I paid $1200 for it and drove it home that day. It ran fine, but needed some TLC. He also through in a set of T-Tops in the covers(the car was a hard top). I still have the T-tops in IL actually lol. After I got it registered me and my brother went out for a cruise...me in the 77 and him in the 69. We come to a stop sign out in the country the Ts into rt. 66. I plant the gas and crank the wheel making a right turn leaving a nice set of black marks. My brother follows suit and when we hit the 2 lane portion of 66 we both get on it and then cruise side by side doing 80(he told me later since my speed-o didn't work lol) Since then we have both gotten rid of our cars in favor for WS6s :) It will finally come full circle when I drive the T/A home next year and we go for a cruise in both WS6s(mine black and his NBM). We both have plans in the future to buy another classic.....hopefully they won't be $100,000 by then.
