Just wondering if anyone has a fiberglass dash from VFN? I'm planning on getting one and wanted feedback on the install and quality of the product. Thanks

Holy crap; they have every body part imaginable for this car. Even...err...umm..the whole "shell" that weighs 135LBS... Hmmm...pretty cool that is until u hit something or visa-versa and the car just shatters. I assume they are just for "track use only"?

Yes. You will probably be killed in a collision unless you are surrounded by a 14 point cage.

i kno this is getting off topic and im sorry for that; but just think about it. You replace the front clip, doors (even tho they say lexan only), rear bumper "clip", hood, rear hatch and dash in your "street car" think of how much less you would weigh. it has to be atleast a 500lbs savings. i mean you could get into the high 11's low 12's with simple bolt-ons. lol.

i imagine the "shell" they sell is a flip-up one with no floor. It's be cool though if it was a whole uni-body and all it needed was a drivetrain. lol. imagine a fiberglass firewall, what could possibly go wrong????

that dash has to be a PITA to install tho if you wanted all the creature comforts.

but then again; a accident = rolling chasis

and would that dashboard even be "legal"? don't they have to have some structure to them? Not that you want to hit it in an accident, but i would rather bounce off a "soft" dashboad then go though it and eat the firewall, windshield, u kno all that good stuff.

I've talked to a few people (mechanics, chassis builders) regarding the dash. They don’t have any experience with this particular car but they have worked with VFN's dashes before. They said its a simple install. It basically bots in with 4 zeus bolts. As far as being legal, it needs to have vents for defrosting and obviously all the normal instruments. It also needs indicator lights for turn signals and driving lights..Now when it comes to safety, I do have a weld in six point cage with NASCAR baskets on each side with 5 point harness so If that doesn’t stop me from hitting the dash nothing will..I'm definitely going to do this over the winter so I will give a detailed breakdown of the install
