Global Cooling!!!!!

Not that I am diagreeing with Scott here, but I dont think those are outrageous temps for the middle of October. Hell I cant wait for 50 degrees so I can take the air conditioner out of the window so I can get a good sleep at night. The air doesnt make the room nearly cold enough for me

Like I figured, they changed it dramatically already. No sign of 50's for the highs and now there aren't even any 30's for the lows. So we might ease our way into fall if we're lucky.

15 day forecasts FTL. These meteorologists can't even predict that Tuesday comes after Monday, and they're gonna tell me that it'll be 54 degrees 15 days from now?!? I lost all faith in them back around 2001 when we supposed to have the Ultra Blizzard of the Century. We were supposed get 2-3 feet with gusty winds and drifts higher than your house. Schools and businesses closed the day before, store shelves were emptied and there wasn't a gallon of milk to be found on the eastern seaboard. Wake up the next morning, look outside and what do we see.....a dusting. The sun came out around 10.

I watched a whole discovery channel special on global cooling the other day. The scientists involved showed how periods of warming are always followed by quick (2-3 years) and dramatic (3*-5*) drops in average temp. They said it is what wiped out the viking settlements in Iceland in the (IIRC) 1500s.

We come from the land of the ice and snow, from the midnight sun where the hot springs blow?
