It definitely looks good, but how does it feel on the road? I've heard TONS of stories about lightly-modded cars loosing lots of low-end grunt with a 90/90 setup.

Neat. I might want to paint the intake on my LS1.

the power still feels the same and i changed something in my tune that usetoo retard timing during shifts so now its just straight power

You're going to lose alot of low end with a 90, are you planning on future mods?

I was waiting for somebody to point that out

There was a member here about 1 1/2 years ago that had a Fast 90 on a cam only car and lost hp & tq then he down graded to the Fast 78 and gained the power back..

A Fast 90 is only needed when you are using Cylinder heads that are capable of flowing over 280 cfm
The stock LS-1 241 casting heads on 2001-2002 Cars only flow 231 at .700 lift which won't even put most people close to even needing it..
Unless you are using a Huge *** cam..

I agree, going to a 78 would gain you at least 10 ponies and alot of low end grunt

the power feels great to me it pulls real hard and yes i do have future mods planned. either heads n cam or some type of forced induction like a turbo or super charger but well see how things go. i wana get my suspension mods done as well as a stronger rear before i move on power wise

As long as you are happy I guess, but that is the wrong intake for your car. You don't need a 90 until you get close to 500 flywheel horse. You're engine just doesn't suck in enough air to use all that CFM and the velocity is just wasted. It's like trying to suck a choclate shake through a straw that is a foot wide. It is going to kill your gas mileage also. I did the same thing when I was running my small cam and thought the car was running great, then I swapped the 90 for a 78 and picked up almost 15 Peak ponies, a ton of mid range and about 45 FT LBS of torque., and that was with a cam.

i no what your saying but still those intake shells arent cheap so i planed on only buying one and i will continue to mod my car so heads and cam arent far off. i still havent seen an affect on mileage but even if there is with my current job i have a company car with paid gas and my other one is five minutes down the road so i should be alright
