alt wire help

im converting my 92 rs to carb i need to find the wire that goes to the alt i got rid of all the wires that go to the computer all i have troubble with now is the tan wire on the alt can it be disconnected

Is that the "L" terminal? If so, you might need to wire it to the idiot light or the alt may not come on. I didn't think it went to the ECM in 3rd gens. I would have thought you'd be ok. Check the diagrams for your car.
