cone of silence

i just found out on the 97 ss' with the 2otl exhaust has a silencer cone right before the muffler..flows the 3 inch piping into a 1 1/2 inch..i cant wait to get the car back from the shop and rip this sucker out and see how it sounds

And this is a video of a 2otl exhaust with out the cone..mine is MUCH more timid i would compare it right now to the sound of a stock ls2 gto's exhaust..

i think it was just 97 ss's with the 2otl exhaust..according to that website

Yeh some of the ls1 SS's with the Slp optioned Dual/dual had it too..

The 2 otl is a great exhaust, it is a shame they dont make it anymore
