View Full Version : 7:30 am explosion in Irvington

Anyone else feel the shock from the explosion in Irvington this morning. I was brushing my teeth when the windows in my house shook and I heard a huge BOOM.

Got to work and saw 2 homes in Irvington exploded. 1 dead and 5 injured. Supposedly one of the homes was scheduled for demolition and the other was being rebuilt. Workers had just arrived and it was a possible gas leak.

Freaky schtuff....

Nah, Irvington's all about weed, coke and heroin. It was a house under construction and it appears that some junkie rocket scientist entrepeneur was trying to steal copper pipe from one of the houses, which was being renovated. Apparently, a copper pipe looks a lot like the gas main to a junkie and, well...kaboom. Think he'll get the Darwin this year?

Just read another story about it. Looks like the junkie trying to steal the pipe isn't the person who got killed. That figures. Sorry for her loss.

whats weird is i was there working about 1/2 mile from where it happened...

and whats funny is that 4 days ago i never heard of the place caue thats way north jersey frme lol
