so im taking apart my motor and i got the cam out, but i cannot find out how to identify it. the only numbers i can find on the cam are GM 650. nothing else and i did a search on google and nothing, i dont have any tools to measure lobe or duration.

any help appreciated

It is probably just the stock cam for your car, so you could always just look up the stock specs.. By the way, is there any reason why you care what the specs are?

well it came out of a crate motor. so its not stock for the car. i want to know the specs so i can get a estimated hp rating because no one can seem to tell me without it.

You can always use a dial caliper or micrometer and measure the lobes and that will give you the lift. I belive if you multiply that by the rocker ratio it will give you the overall lift. That part could be wrong

Yes, multiplying lope height by rocker ratio will give you actual valve lift.
