Like drinking beers? Like working on cars? Well, Sat, Nov 3 2007 will be the offical date for unstablefest/raise the T-Type day! Hopefully by the end of the day I will have a running T-Type, and mucho beer will have been consumed. Sponsored by Molson! So, if ya wanna stop by and drink a beer with ub, spin a wrench, or just hang out and offer moral support, come on down! Address is 607 Elizabeth Ave, Somerset, NJ. 08873. My cell # is 721.816.5445. I'm located about 15 mins from the Grease Trucks, in lovely CENTRAL NJ. Gonna be kicking off the shindig about 10 AM, and working 'till it all done, or we run outa beers!

Dammit, I'd love to be there, but I'm going to see the mighty Van Halen and have to drop off my kids early (one at my in-laws, one at my parents) so my morning and afternoon will be consumed. If it ain't running by the end of this weekend, I'll see if I can sneak down there next weekend! Good luck UBG and crew!

Hmm. I have time on Sunday because I planned to crawl under my TA for a few hours. Saturday is probably a no-go for me since the wife and I have kid stuff all day long.
If you're still working on it on Sunday I can swing by for an hour or so and chew yer ear off before / after I do more damage to my own car.

Bob, if I didn't already have the whole day cleared to finish this little job, I'd swing by.

Bad timing for me. But the LS1 will be that much closer to my 67, and the T56 is that much closer to my 77, if that makes you feel better. It makes me all warm & fuzzy.

I will call your cell in the AM If I can swing by in the afternoon. This way you can have my cell in case you need a tool I have. I have to borrow a tire machine in the AM but afternoon looks good. You are close to Mike Lahutsky's place. I will have the 3 year old but he loves cars. Joe

NOW we're getting somewhere! A few good men will get the job done! Hell, I don't even mind if people just swing by to drink a beer!
Joe, it would be cool if ya can come by. Maybe having a couple of ol' skool Manville boys on the job will bring me luck!
ALSO: Please notice I made a correction about my address in my first post. I had spelled my street name wrong,[DUH!] but it is now correct.

Hope things are going well today Bob....with the little one around and the wife still coaching soccer, I had no chance to leave the apartment until it was time for work.

Well, here's the good, the bad, and the ugly...
We got the new tank and fuel pumps in, and got the car running. We tried bleeding the brakes, but the pass. side was leaking like a sieve from where the flex line hooks to the hard line. We got the car off the jackstands, and I attemped to move it, but it stalled out, and wouldn't restart. We pulled the plugs and they were pretty fouled, so a new set was installed. Then the SOB car decided to not run, due to no fuel pressure. I give up. It's time for the car to be turned over to a shop, get it fixed, and get it sold. I'm going back to being an AMC mechanic...
Thanks to everybody who came out. It was fun b.s.ing and drinking beer, even with the events of the day not being 100% successful. Hopefully in the future I will be able to lend a hand to those that need it...
PS: I still have 2 sixes of Molson left, and will be working on the AMX tomorrow.

as I said on your forum, I'm sorry to hear it turned out the way it did. I was pretty happy with it being fired up and idling nicely...I guess I left too soon. Let me know if you need a hand and I had a good time getting a little dirty and drinkin some beer.

Sorry Man, So close. I'm sure a Turbo-Buick guru will tell you it's a simple fix, just something not sending a signal to the EMC. danh new fangeled computers! Glad I was able to lend a hand, JB

Bummer to hear you're still having problems with it. Sorry I missed helping out, but I had to work on both my cars and then had to dig out 2 tree stumps. I should've stopped up to help instead because I got one big blister from digging out the stumps.
