justin, getting from the forums to home is fixed, but the other way around still dosent work

It should, try pressing CTRL and F5 when you are on the home page - your browser could just be caching the old navbar.

Is there anything different?

Mostly just security upgrades, plus a new image verification system for new users that should make "bot" registration almost impossible.
