View Full Version : Tues 11/13 Central Meet - HI Rib

As discussed last month (http://www.njfboa.org/forums/showthread.php?t=29202&page=2), this month it is back HI Rib on rt 31. I trust the AC will not be a concern. Next month is Mastoris on 130/206 in Bordentown. January will be the new Outback on 130 in Hamilton (next to Home Depot). Why? I like steak.
As usual, we go in at 7, so show up any time before…
Who's in? I expect some of the more northern central-ites to come, like WildBilly, Ian and //<86TA>\\. And maybe some occasional visitors like 73RSCamaro and Featherburner.
8-)
i guess thats settled then.
as always, ill be there

No go this month, I'll be starting a double shift while you guys are enjoying your dinners.
I'll see about taking a night off for one of the next too though....I haven't been to Mastori's in years.

where is rt 31?
From Hillsborough take 202S towards Flemington, then go around the circle. 202 and 31 join there. From there to get to HI you go down 202 a little bit until you see a Shell station on your right. Take the exit right after the Shell for 31S. HI Rib is a few miles down the road.

normally that would be too bad of a ride, but considering it's rush hour it would probably take me 45 minutes to an hour to get there. I'll sit this one out.

If you take 514 out to 202/31 there shouldnt be that much traffice from that way, I have done it before, really isnt that bad going to take 35 minutes anyway

Ian head south on 601 to 518 west through Hopewell to 31. Make a left on 31 south and go just 2 minutes and you're there. Not a bad ride, just slow down through Hopewell.
Next time I go I can give you a ride since I have to drive right past the shop to get to 601.

I'm in.
But maybe we can talk about the December meet? Unstable Bob and I were discussing getting together with the original 2nd Tuesday club, the old CJCFO members before the year ends. So maybe we can find a place like Fudds where you pay first or even where you can select certain items off a menu for the same price? might make the whole deal easier IF we can drag then out?

that seems like a much easier way to take from my house. taking amwell all the way out to 202 would take me almost a half hour just by itself. I live on the other side of hillsborough. I'll try to make it, but I'm not making any promises.

It's slowly going out(ie, harder to connect to while tuning). It used to take no time at all, but now it's more than a few minutes. I ordered a used one that's on back order for a few weeks now :(

just come straight from work. make a right out of the shop, keep right(can't remember that road name) and follow it down past the post office and everything to 518. make the right onto 518 and it takes you through hopewell and dumps you right onto rt31
even at rush hour it shouldn't be more than about a 20min ride from you.

weird, they usually don't "slowly" die, more of a ok or not ok type of deal.

Looks like the rain should stop for the remainder of the day? I think I will take the GTA out again, possibly the last time this season before I start taking things apart.

and now it snowballs, well it figures, catastrophic failure of the power steering pump, fire the car up and got this horrible whining sound which just got worse, then suddenly made another funny noise and stopped, go out to check what was happening, and no fluid is moving through the system, so something blew so now this damn thing is probably F-ed, hopefully my steering box is ok, then i find #5's header tube decided to eat #7 plug boot, and in the dark i could see little blue sparks going everywhere, pulled that all apart, found a new boot, but i have no way to dent the header in the car, as i found out when trying frantically to fix things and bent the electrode on the end of the plug, so now i have to take the F-ing header out, which means lifting the engine up a bit, :banghead:
an to make things worse i burnt my arm and a finger messing with things on the hot header,
such great luck i have,
:cry:well, it seems im going to miss this one, was looking forward to meeting some you guys but this just put me over the edge, why did it pick today to blow!?

D@m, that place was empty when we left! Good times as usual. I did meet up with a nice deer in the middle of my road on the way home. He was in no hurry to get out of the road so I had to wait for him to move. It wasn't worth getting too close to him due to the rack he had. I guess I need to fix that rear defroster too, the window was all fogged up on the way home. And I ran into a traffic jam on the way home!

So my parting words to Tim tonight were "I hope I dont go home to the dog having crapped all over the house" well I get home, the pup is out of Quarantine for his first night with the other dogs...he was passed out, but I needed to let him outside...I notice the floor is soaking wet by the fridge...I was like ohhh damn he peed all over the floor....nope, he then gets up, and shows me his new trick! He goes up to the fridge stands on his hind legs, and pushes the button to make the water come out all over him and the floor. I sure as hell hope no one taught him that cause its one cruel trick if they did. I just hope no one switches it to the ice dispencer, yet it could be funny.
