Really great looking cars Alex, but I don't agree with the choice of backgrounds. Planes and old paint peeling buildings do not do these cars justice. :2cents:

they were using the paved runway, so we couldnt go on it. even though only 2 planes landed/took off while we were there.....theres always next time.

The VW Fast thing made me laugh. :)

I like the third shot down from the top. The angled shot from overhead with the third brake light on, is slick.

thats not the 3rd brake light, 3rd brake light is in the spoiler....looks like a red vinyl, iirc echo's car is all red/black themed

The winds were blowing North yesterday so they needed to use the paved runway. Next time all we have to do is call ahead or check the forecast to make sure the winds are blowing East-West, forcing the planes to use the dirt runway on the other side and we'd be free to use the northern part of the runway I would assume.

The VW Fast converted! Plain and simple the VW's didn't really satisfy the Fast's need for speed :lol:

Exactly, the fast decided to live up to his name for a change. And I think its safe to say that this fast is never going back :lol:

thats a FRRAX.com sticker. red vinyl. if anyone doesnt know of it already, check it out. stands for F body Road Race AutoX forum. all f bodies, all road racing, autox, and assorted topics.

to the naysayers.....dont be jealous because you dont have a fast.

The Fast is a VW mascot. They created the character, and used an advertising campaign that went something like "Make friends with your Fast" when they introduced the new GTI.

They were all the rage when they came out. Everyone who bought a new GTI that year got one I think, and several went up on Ebay. I know some sold for over $1,000.

No prob. I actually saw the poor guy try to drive his car in the snow coming out of the shopping center around here. I said a little prayer for him to make it home alright. I've been there so watching those tires spin brought back some memories lol.
