Like the last Bullitt-edition 'Stang, power output is bumped only slightly -- in this case, it's going to come in at 312 horses, thanks to the Ford Racing Power Pack. Other Bullitt mods include a retuned suspension, strut tower brace, x-pipe, new exhaust tips, V6-style grille (we hope that Ford deletes the pony badge, too), red brake calipers, 3:73 rear, 18" "Bullitt" wheels (our money's on black ones), and, of course, Highland Green paint. The car's also going to be available in black for the non-purists out there.
Pricing is still a mystery, but we now know that the program will go on for seven months and produce 7,000 cars for the US, and 700 for our Canuck friends.

never liked the last style they did and this one seems to follow it, removed the spoiler, V6 grille and looks like they forgot the chrome gas door this time around!

Slap the billet gas cover on it and I'd be all over it.
I like the looks of the V6, and despise that large fog light in the bezel on the GT's.

the grille is actually different from the v6's...it has that chrome trim and the normal v6 grilles arent all black like that one is
lowered about 1.5" it would be sooo sexual

I like that grille better, and those fog lights on the GT's are freakin ugly. Not gonna lie though, this one looks pretty good.

We have a couple on order and should be in by January they say. Not sure why they only rated the hp @ 312. If it's got the Power Pack, it should be 325, same as the Shelby GT.

It's a green Mustang.... so?
Call it whatever you want, it still looks like a regular, green colored V6. For the markup price on this edition, you could probably work the V8 on a regular GT and get better output.

does anyone understand that its built to be like the car from the movie Bullitt? its not supposed to look special, its not supposed to be super fast, its supposed to be a limited edition collector's car.

if one were to even consider going the ford route for ANY vehicle.... at least get the s281 Extreme Rustang , saleen outdid themselves there... my cousin works for a Ford dealer in NY and ive had several opportunies to drive some of these "rare" models and aftermarket distributed fords. That Saleen s281 is insane.

Yea, the '07 was 550hp, and we ordered 3 '08s, and they're supposed to be 620hp :D

325 is nothing to laugh at. You can also order it with a 3.55 posi rear, or the Factory Drag Pak and get a CAI, 90mm MAF, 4.10 posi rear, shorty headers, short throw shifter, new mufflers, and a computer tune. Not too bad from the factory, especially considering no other manufacturer is offering such upgrades as a warrantied factory option.

that is definitely one of the greatest chase scenes. I remember seeing that as a kid and that was one of the things that first turned me on to muscle cars.

I have to give a thumbs up to Ford for making the new Bullitt faithful to the original and making available a drag pack and a handling package. Just like the original, the Bullitt mustang is debadged and understated. However, the current mustang doesn't look good understated as it only looks so much better when the exterior mods such as the aftermarket hood, front bumper, the rear window louvres, paint stripes, and the aftermarket wheels are added. Therefore, this car would only be good as a collector and nothing more.
I'm betting that a Mach 1 version of the current mustang would look stunning.
