Well I found something today while changing my oil that you absolutely don't want to find stuck to the magnetic bolt in the oil pan......2 large pieces of metal :( I'm going to pull the valve covers off this week and check things out. Needless to say I'm not in the best of moods

you see something stange attached to the bolt...you realize what it is, and then an unsettling feeling appears in your stomach...then...:barf:

i think we all have gotten that feeling one time or another w/ our cars...hope it isn't to serious man...

Damn Bill, getting rid of the car. I definitely know how you feel. I almost sold my T/A this year for the same reason. Breaking the car always makes you ask why you do it in the first place. Been thinking about that all day yesterday.

Definitely had that feeling. This will be motor #2 so I hope it's not serious.

Just for moral support I hope.....

Sorry to hear man, hopefully it's nothing major and the BBoD will be striking fear into the hearts and minds of unsuspecting victims in no time.

Here's a pic of what I found in the passenger head :( Everything else seems to be good...no broken rockers, valves are straight and so are the push rods. So I might have "lucked out" and only suffered a broken spring.

After seeing this and, what already made its way to the oil pan. You're not going to tear the motor down?

I'm going to test the compression in all the cyl. If they are good, then I'm just going to change the spring.

You run the compression test yet to see if it's got more problems?

No yet. The car is back in my driveway now. The trans brake switch is installed and the new D/S is in. I have to wait to get new springs so the BBOD is pretty much done for this year :( I haven't decided if Evette is going back or not.
