Seems to happen every year. Especially now that I am married and have twice the family to buy for. Each year more people get married, have more kids... leaving my bank account on empty to put gifts under everyones tree

Anyone else out there know how I feel?

Nope. We scaled it all back, and I told Natalie that I want nothing but time in the shop for Christmas. Should be cheap this year!

NO I'm single with no kids. Makes this so much simpler, and gives me so many more options. I go broke spending on myself.

I don't feel your pain yet because i'm a late shopper. I don't go crazy people have to understand if you don't have the money you do the best you can. Don't over due it just to try to compete with others.

I used to be able to just decide not to spend much on Christmas, or work out a good budget plan and say "okay, this is how much I have to spend on everyone". But all that went out the window when I got married and my wife decided to buy everyone a TON of stuff even though I told her we needed to watch how much we spend on people.

Back when I just had 6-7 people to buy for it wasn't bad, but now with 20 people to buy for, even if I don't spend much per person, it still is a lot!

The rule I have learned here is GETTING MARRIED IS EXPENSIVE!!!!!

I don't buy gifts for anyone old enough to drive anymore. That is a rule in my house. If you are old enough to be working there is no need for gifts. I might buy a few small things as a thank you to parents for helping out but brothers, sister in laws, that crap is done. We are all adults get a life. LOL
