Yeah, that's Ranger from LS1tech and CorvetteForum. There's another guy running around saying he's gone faster than that with slips to prove it however no one can verify that he's stock. He ran a 1.5x 60' time which is damn near impossible on the stock clutch. There have been a ton of threads locked over on the forum because of the debates, lol

I was at a rental with Ranger, he documents EVERYTHING, and is a very impressive driver in a stock car.

Yeah PAVE1 i think is his name. I've been reading those threads too. A little controversy.

If its legit, great. But I find it very hard to believe that street tires and a stock clutch can hold that.

Yeah that's him. He proved his times, no one is disputing that. What they're disputing is the claim of being stock..and quite frankly I have to agree with the doubters.

I think the fastest stock c5 version hit 11.7's stock so why couldn't the 100 more hp c6 version hit 10's...I believe it w/ a dead hook and id imagine the new z06's clutch can withstand that.

Ranger did it, like previously stated he documents everything, he scans his PCM to prove it's the stock factory settings.

I like I said earlier though, there's a guy running around now saying he pulled a 1.5x 60' on a stock clutch, that's a little hard to believe.

I'm not the smartest person, but I doubt its stock.

I always question people who say they have the fastest stock anything, or even people who are like an extreme amount faster then others with the same mods. People are always hiding something to make themselves look better.

Sometimes, but thats a pretty downtrodden way of looking at things. More then a few 400 hp z06's have hit 11's stock, so why couldnt a 500 hp z06 hit 10's. The guy who ran it seems like he's making sure there's no question of doubt as opposed to hiding something.

'06 Z06 red - Bone Stock Stock Tires.11.13 127.20 1.76 60'
Bone Stock DRs...........10.85 129.50 1.67 60'
'02 Z06 - Bone Stock Stock Tires.11.81 117.26 1.78 60'
w/CAI & DRs...............11.52 120.21 1.64 60'
'01 Z06 w/CAI & DRs...............11.94 116.65 1.83 60'

Here's rangers sig from LS1tech...looks like the guy can drive his butt off. Now seeing how much power these new z06's put down I wouldnt even consider a dr a mod. There's also a guy Pave1 saying he ran a 10.76 w/ dr's but he sounds kinda shady to me. Looks like the usually pissing match thread and it was closed after 3 pages which i couldnt finish because its telling me tech's servers too busy. Now I know they have alot of members but noon time on a friday ?

Give me a shot ;) i might not be as well known as those 2, (as far as banging gears goes) but Ive got dem' skillzzzz. as long as nothing breaks on the Z06 haha

about this new guy running 10s- THIS THREAD and his timeslip IS WORTHLESS WITHOUT VIDEO!!!!! haha
i think ranger has another .1-.2 second he could drop off if he banged gears a bit quicker

I know it's apples to oranges, but how is it possible for stock tires to hold and not spin like crazy at 500 hp that is what I don't understand.

I was at a rental with Ranger, he documents EVERYTHING, and is a very impressive driver in a stock car.True, he's on the ball...here's a pic of Ranger's car (at the time it was the quickest stock Corvette ever) parked next to mine (still the quickest stock 'non Z06' Corvette ever as far as I know):

those rear wheels dont look stock to me.They're not, those are his drag radials, he runs the car in two modes only, pure bone stock (11.13@127+) and bone stock but with DRs (10.85@129.50). :)
