OK, here's what happened. I've been researching some budget-friendly winter tires for my Jeep in case the used Pirelli Scorpions turn out to be junk (so far they're OK though). So yesterday I was surfing Google for some reviews of Treadwright retread tires (formerly Hi-Tec retreads). So I see a link that goes to neow.org. Now, me being the trusting type, since it's on the first page of Google links, I click it. Well, the website fails to load, and locks up Internet Explorer. So, I restarted the PC and then when I went to my usual sites on the 'net (njfboa.org, montecarloss.com, pro-touring.com, etc), all of my login information had been cleared - WTF? So, I re-enter the screen names and passwords, click the little box that says "Remember me every time I come here" or whatever-the-hell it says, and think I'm good to go. Wrong! Just turned on the PC this AM, and everything is cleared again.

Cliff's Notes Version - my computer clears all the IE settings every time I shut down.

Did something get into my PC from that website that is trying to harvest my password info and crap? And, how can I resolve this?

start by running a virus scan to see if any bad stuff is hunting around. Second, if you do find something, report it to google if you are sure that is where you got the bug from.

Good luck

run adaware and a virus scan , chances are its just IE acting liek a dumb **** as usual. You can run Mozilla firefox which is a hell of lot skinnier than IE and easier to use IMO

www.getfirefox.com :D

Not that you asked, but I have heard good things about those tires on JF. Some guys don't trust them for a DD tire, but others say they use them all the time and haven't had any issues.
