Woke up this morning just to see that my girlfriend's nieghbor backed into the driver's side rear qtr. Nice size dent. He just missed the tail light. There is now a nice gap between the qtr panel and the hatch.
Why can't people just learn how to drive!!! Its not that hard!!!
Like I need this with 18 days to go. WTF!!!

first estimate is $812 and change and the second estimate was $990 and change.
Both bodyshopps said that if it goes to insurance the car will be totaled out.

How many miles are on that thing?
I know early LT1 cars aren't worth much, but to be totaled for less than $1,000 in damage is a bit extreme.

from what i got for my 3.4 the engine doesn't really matter in our cars
and we all saw what little damage i had.. it was a new taillight, panel, and maybe a new bumper...

ill give ya 500 bucks for it tim
and...in order to properly fix it, doesnt the whole 1/4 have to be cut out and a new one either welded or rivited in? or is the dent not that severe that it can be pulled out

Yeah you have to cut out the rear 1/4's to be replaced.
Sucks tim, hope you got on the horn with insurance and got a police report too.
