So while i was cruising eBay, hopefully finding a cheap M6 LT1 to buy, I came across this sick puppy
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1969-ZL-1-Camaro-427-4speed-factory-aluminum-427-car_W0QQitemZ230206633781QQihZ013QQcategoryZ6161QQ ssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
makes me wish I could go back in time and buy 10 of those things. Can onyone say Overinflation of prices? I knew you could.
oh ad thats not even the original block in the car, its on the east coast, the guy he bought it from has it....so im gonna pay 1,250,000 for a car without an original motor in it? screw that, its cloning time!!

Good 'ol Jim at Heartbeat City. That car was up for $800,000 last year I think. Didn't get any takers then, either.

The car's been "for sale" as long as he's owned it. He just puts it out there from time to time to see if anyone is willing to pay that much.
If he found a buyer at that price, you wouldn't call him an idiot.

He just uses these auctions for advertising. There is a good discussion going on about the ZL1 cars and if the original motor adds a lot of value. A lot of guys say no because all the ZL1 VINs are known so you know what the car is. Same with the hemi Cuda convertibles, the cars are known so the original motor doesn't matter. I personally would want the original motor in my car. And I prefer good paperwork with it.
