Well yesterday morning i departed NJ and began my drive up to my permamnent duty station, Ft Drum NY. about 4 1/2 hours later i drove through the front gates of the base. On my way up I-84 around 8am, the temp was as low as -4 degrees. yes, negative 4. While doing my inprocessing on base and driving around the average temp was about 5 degrees. Its a cold where it almost doesnt feel cold. lol. Then today we had a warm spell, its in the mid 20s now. but my water and soda bottles in my truck froze soild overnight haha. I went for more inprocessing this morning and when i looked outside, its snowing, add that to the snow on the ground already and im very glad i kept my denali, 4wd is good.

Good luck up there. A good friend of mine was stationed up there for a few years ith his ex-wife. He couldn't wait to get out of there when he got out of the army. Now he is down in FL where it is almost always nice..

Glad to hear you made it there ok. How nice is Rt. 84 north of Albany? Melissa and I went up that way on our way to VT and it was really cool. Send some pics if you can!

lol. That was part of it, the other part was the lake effect snow and the cold.
