I was over my friends, didnt know it had rained outside. I walk to my car which I havent drove in nearly 2 months. Start it up, go to drive and I start spinning my tires. I was like o ****. so i slowly make it up the hill. Turn left the back end kicks out, i decided to check the brakes the car slides to the left, made another left eventualy made it out to the main road where it is covered in salt. The whole way home I topped out at 18mph. There was no way I was going any faster on these hills. Then someone in a jeep liberty nearly slides into me coming around a corner while I am at a stop sign. No way do I ever want to be in that situation again.

After the other day when it was 5 degrees all night, that ground is cold and that rain froze quick.

a handful of years back I was coming home from work one night when it started to drizzle out, turned on my wipers, ice doesn't come off of the windshield very well, throw on the defroster & slow down to 15mph and within a couple of blocks up the road there were already 2 or 3 accidents, definitely not fun to drive on ice.

You should try driving a supercharged LT1 on 1/4" of snow! It doesn't work well. I don't think I got above 15 mph trying to drive home from work in my old 93 Indy Pace Car. All you had to do was take your foot off the brake and with the supercharger and automatic trans it would start to spin by itself. I did hit some black ice one night about 21 years ago with my first car, a 69 Camaro convertible. I had 3 friends in the car and we were heading back from ice skating. It was 35 degrees out, but somehow a puddle that kept getting sprayed onto the road froze(must have been the windchill effect). Nothing like getting sideways at 50 mph with nothing but fences on either side of the road. I managed to steer my way out of it without touching the curb! Gotta watch out for those slick spots.
