Hey for all the people out there that street race...Here is a TRUE STORY that maybe will help you guys not do it anymore...Jan.30.07 almost a year ago..My brother was out street racing. He was hit by an on coming car.Him and his friend died..For those of you who street race and all and think that nothing can happin to you, sit back and think for a min. What would happin if it did how would people around you feel what about your brothers your sisters your mom and dad ,or even friends..Even tho you think it wont ever happin to you ,you dont know that for sure I mean you can get out of bed and fall over dead. Aint nothing you can do about that. But when you are street racing what happins if a deer runs out in front of you or you lose control of the car or the guy your racing lose control of the car..I was one of those people that thought nothing can happin to me whats the worrst that can happin I get pulled over, your lucky if you get pulled over..The night my brother died, was the night that I could see that anything can happin you can take your own life or someone else or you can take many lives with you...All I ask is not to do it do it at the track thats why it is there for..Be thankful that we have a track to race at..Yes stuff happins there too but there they have people that can help you right away.. Its more safer. Juss think about it when you line up on the street..Your not a puss like some people might say..You smart, your kewl because your not taking the chance of taking someone else life or even your own life...Juss think about it guys...

Why do people have to be such douchebags??

OK, i get it. hes a sarcastic prick. WHO CARES!!?? All in all he posted about a very sad yet informative story that was also very personal. His intentions were im sure to better the people on this site. also, so what if he still street races? let him die like his brother (no offense man, im just making a point). For those that read it, should take it in, and think about it next time the guy with the souped up 4-banger pulls next to him.

Kid Racer... sorry about ur loss man, my brother was seriously injured about two years ago when he was racing me. He was t-boned at an intersection by a guy who was turning to go after me since i was ahead of him. The guy was in a yellow Audi and slammed my brother and he was hospitalized for almost 2 mos.

Again, i dont mean for this to come out rude but come on man. Hes only trying to give us valuable life information which is exactly what he did. weather or not he follows it is his own problem

K-R: Sorry to hear about your loss. Yes, racing on the street is a losing deal. When I was young and stoopid I did it a lot, and luckily the only thing that happened was that my wallet got lighter from tickets. Now that I'm an old fart I don't even care about driving a fast car everyday.

J3W: Well said, man.

I street race occasionally but only on backwoods roads where there is no on-coming cars, no side streets, no people/cars past the line, and no passengers in either car. This way there are only 2 people risking their lives and both are fully aware of it ...all my friends do it the same way. You catch me at a stop light and rev your engine at me I'm not even going to look over. You'll never see me speeding, driving like an ass, doing burnouts, etc either.

Sorry about your loss but I honestly have no sympathy for your brother (assuming he was the driver)... Street racing didn't kill him, driving recklessly did.
