I asked for the moon and the company gave it to me so I'm really pumped right now. Nice to know that busting your hump payoffs even if in other instances it doesn't. This means I will be able to afford a decent house for myself and my future wife and probably a nice G8 GT in my garage!

hell yea!

I work as a Mechanical Engineer at an energy conservation company out of Mountainside, NJ. I am not big on telling everyone what I make but I will say that I got a 15% hike in annual salary plus bonuses.

congrats brian! but my question is don't engineers usually get annually increasing salaries? certainly not 15% so isn't there more increase on the horizon?

The way my company works is that there is an annual increase of around 3% which is to stay with inflation and cost of living increases. The management hear is real big on bonuses and they have mid-year and end of year bonuses depending on company and personal performance. I was looking to increase my base salary before the cost of living increase while maintaining the bonuses.

My fiance (Packaging Engineer) works for a large medical corporation and she got a end of year raise and a bonus.

Thank everyone!
