Finally got some more time to work on the '69. The better part of the day was spent getting the body true (since it was a little bowed from the previous owners accidents). I had to dig out the Fisher Body Manual and set the index holes on the frame to given heights, corrected for the extra height from the jackstands. It's now perfectly braced and leveled so I can replace panels without worrying about alignment or flexing.

The fun part came in an automotive first for me- I actually got to jack a car from the ceiling

The driver's side was a little high, and the passenger side was a little low, so I had to push it down to get everything to the proper height. When I replace the tail panel it will be restored to normal.

Then I got the air chisel and spot weld cutters out to work on the passenger side rocker panel:

And had fun with a previous hack job repair:

17" of fiberglass resin, 3/8" thick:

As it sits now the rocker is about 3/4 off of the car. I mushroomed my panel seperating knife and dulled all of my spot weld cutters so I'm stalled for now. It just feels really good to get back in the saddle.
