View Full Version : The refs better not blow this Giants/Packers game!

They totally missed the penalty on Driver when he threw down the Giants defender and that led to the touchdown. Now they get a totally wrong defensive holding penalty when it was the Green Bay receiver who did the same thing again pushing the defender. It's a good game so far but the refs are about to account for all the Packers points!

they've already made some bad calls...

Tru2Chevy

I think they made up for it with the 3 penalties against Green Bay on the Giant's last drive....

Ugh, too late. They should have flagged both Harris and Plaxico early in the game for all the crap the 2 of them are doing. Now they'll have to make calls against each one and it will be a key call in the game.

NJSPEEDER

excellent non call on the last pass

why have the refs been so much worse this post season than i remember for many years? anyone who watched the giants vs cowboys or bolts vs colts last week knows what i am talking about.

and as i post a phantom unneccesary roughness on the giants as two guys push and shove. lol

JL8Jeff
01-20-2008, 07:53 PM
And another bad call when both players were hitting each other after the play and Green Bay gets another 7 points thanks to the refs! :-? This is worse than the Cowboys game last week!

NJSPEEDER
01-20-2008, 07:54 PM
i guesss that one was making up for the completely obvious interference that they missed two plays before.

They already gave the Packers 17 points so you shouldn't complain. They only gave the Giants 7 points so they need a few more makeup calls.

Refs missed another Green Bay offsides penalty and that could be a big missed call! I'm feeling some OT on the way!

And the idiot Giants decide to run a a draw play with 40 seconds left to get 2 yards instead of throwing it a couple of times to get closer.

JL8Jeff
01-20-2008, 09:07 PM

It wasn't the kicker's fault, it was the bad snap that throws off his timing. The holder did a great job.

Where'd I say that? Coughlin is a junk coach and IMO the Giants are NOT that good. I thought they'd beat the Cowboys because, well, they're choke artists...I don't see them beating the Pats, period. I hope I'm wrong.

i think the pack woudl have been a better match up against the pats than new york will be.

the funny thing is that the new york press and fans will all get right back to wanting manning's head on a pike if he doesn't win the superbowl. lol

JL8Jeff
01-20-2008, 09:55 PM
Pats have been showing their weaknesses the last few games so hopefully it will be a good game. I hope the refs aren't a big factor in the superbowl. I can see the Giants playing the Pats close again, but that assumes Eli doesn't turn the ball over or the Giants D can get some turnovers against Brady. I just hate the 2 week delay.

NJSPEEDER
01-20-2008, 10:15 PM
the pats "weakness" has only proven that no other team can force as much pressure in enough different ways to beat them. a few people have found out how to slow them down a bit, but until someone manages to beat them i have a hard time calling any it weaknesses.

I just got back home from a party and it is nuts tonite!!!! Men cheering, women showing their boobies, I love football!!!

Now, with all seriousness, this Super Bowl will come down to one thing, can the Giants pressure Brady? If they do, which they did last time these two played, they will be in very good shape. The team is clicking and guess what, the Giants are 10-1 away from New York this year. Basically, the Giants have two weeks to watch the film from Week 17, learn from their mistakes, and go win this f--king thing!!!!

PS- This goes out to all the journalists who automatically write off a team cause they didn't win the division....F--K YOU!!!!! The guys on Fox all chose Giants opponents to win in the playoffs, and they all are enjoying a nice plate full of crow! Coughlin has proven he is a great coach so people should get off his back, and Eli is now proven he is a top NFL QB. And it only took him 4 years to get to the Super Bowl when it took Peyton 9 years...GO Giants!!!!

Definitely well said. I bet TiVi Barber is eating his words now.

Bad calls aside, that was a great game. And the Giants have a great shot at beating the Pats. They're playing great on both sides of the ball. They just need to pressure Brady and keep the turnovers at 0.

Oh please. Comparing Eli to Peyton? LOL. Eli got hot at the right time but is nowhere near Peyton. Coughlin a good coach? LMFAO. Right. Why was half of NY ready to boot him AND boy toy Eli out of town? If the Giants get blown out lets see how much NY rides behind Coughlin.

How about those Eagles?

Reguardless, Super Bowl is gonna be a great game. Eli has not thrown an interception in the last 4 or 5 games (i forgot the exact statistic), cuz now he's learning to throw short routes instead of bombs, which usually lands in the defenders hand. Patriots have sorta declined the second half of the season, almost losing to the Ravens (the only team this season to lose to the 1-15 Dolphins i might add), and let the Giants stay close with them the last game of the season, altho, hell, they werent really playing for anything.

All i gotta say is, if Eli stays potent and Jacobs carries Seau and Breuski for 10+ yards like he did last night with GB linebackers, its gonna be a close decision.

What do they have to do with anything? They sucked balls this year. At least we got to see someone else from the NFC East represent lol
