Just got done playing with my car and im happy with the new look.
-Heater hose (http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=720291&page=1&pp=20)mod dropped the rear 3/4"
-Put my painted salad shooters (http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2357346/3) on for the winter.
got to dark to post pics of my ride, but u can see how it would look from the pics above. Ill post a pic tomorrow.

pic - the rear dropped 3/4" after the car had time overnight to sit on the springs and re-compress. The car now sits nicely on the 16" stock shooters and both the front and rear are exactly the same height (Fender to Ground - within 1/4") of each other.

Looks excellent man! I've been planning on doing that myself with my stock wheels for a while now but just haven't gotten around to it. I should probably be using them now until I get my fenders rolled.
How did you do the lip?

CALL911 - great point, hell were almost in feb and all this week temps in the upper 40's
yea electrical tape worked perfect - i thought it wasnt going to give me a nice clean edge, but it worked great.
Maro - the drop took all of 30 min to do and i love it, only prob now is with the body kit and the rear 3/4'' lower it hard to jack the car up now. How long did your rims last before they started to chip or show signs of wear?

they were still perfect last year when i had a DD third gen, so they lasted like 4-5 winter seasons, no primer and no clear just sprayed a stripped wheel black and polished the lip :)

wow - so my 2 layers of sanded primer 4 layers of paint and 4 layers of clear should hold up nice then.
nice, i murdered out the wheels of my Denali, well actually an old set of tahoe wheels my friend had laying around. I then had them wrapped with bridgestone blizzak winter tires.... i only did like 1 coat of paint but i did quite a bit of prep.
And for me snow is an everyday thing it seems, lol. Hence the nice layer of salt...

I see it also as a good way to save your nice wheels when they lay down the salt! Keeping them clean is impossible this time of the year. My wheels need a good polishing.
